“In the last few months this store has made so many improvements. The new Manager is very nice. You are greeted when you walked in. The cashier always has a warm smile. I overheard the new Manager chatting with a customer stating how she is working so hard to get the store together for the community.”
“I went to this store to return a private brand item that I had purchased at a different DG 20 miles away. The item had not been used and I had the receipt. I was told I would have to take the product to the store where I purchased the item. Considering that DG is not a franchise but is in fact a corporation, I called their corporate Customer Service line where they briefly researched the policy and then stated "Dollar General brand items must be returned to the store where purchased. However, private name brand items can be returned to any DG store in the US for full refund.'
This was one of two DG in my neighborhood that gave me the same runaround. Both stores had very friendly staff that wanted to help me but felt their hands were tied. Dollar General...Train your staff!!!”
“A good store but the employees do follow you around quite a bit to make sure you're not stealing anything which I understand but sometimes it makes you feel like you know they're watching you for whatever reason and then you feel like you've been profiled”

“This is one of my favorite stores because the workers are pleasant, and they have a reasonable amount of grocery items that I often run out of mid-week. It's organized and easy to find what I need without having to spend too much time. I also like that there's never a line of shoppers, as the case with the larger, stores.”
“GAVIN is amazing!! I called ahead and he blew up the balloons I needed for a birthday party. I witnessed him offering a box to a woman buying numerous porcelain cups, bowls and plates. He’s both patient and kind… he was a sunburst of light during a very hectic day. Bravo! ☕️?”
“While the standard for orderliness and cleanliness in dollar stores has been extremely low, it was a delight to walk around the aisles to shop at Family Dollar on Main Street today! I couldn't find a thing out of place, the aisles weren't blocked with stock that needed to be put on shelves, all the prices were clearly marked, and the customer service I received was of the highest quality.I shopped there today, Saturday, Nov 11th at approximately 2:30 p.m. I hope whoever manages that store receives recognition as well as the employees who are working so hard there. You all deserve a big fat raise????”
“It's a great store, friendly store, but they need to have two checkout counters open most of the time when there's only one usually open... They have a self check out also but it only takes debit credit cards...”
“I had a few minutes before my bus was to come and needed a few things so I ran in thinking it would be quick. Everyone in the store decided to check out just before me. It took a few minutes to get through the line. Customers don't realize that when we take our time to dig through a purse or check 20 pockets for their wallet, we can really goof up the customers behind us and what they have going on. I ran out to get my bus and I was not quite at the stop and even though I was waving my flashlight at the bus driver, he passed me and kept going. That was the last bus out of Kenmore to Barberton. I walked 6.2 miles to get back to my apartment. Oops!”
“I can find just about every household product or grocery i need here. The staff can always be seen and found if i have any questions and the stores are always kept stocked. Not like some big boxes stores?!”
“I’ve shopped here a handful of times and I’m happy with my purchases and prices. They seem well stocked compared to other Family Dollar Stores I’ve been to, the store is clean, the cashiers are nice & pleasant and always say hello when you walk in. The store appears to have good management by the way it operates. Keep up the great work Family Dollar.”

“These folks here go through employees like no ones business. Before I used to have terrible experiences here and now tbh, they have stocked shelves, and if not then they probably have a UBoat with it ready, they endlessly stock and take care of a lot of rude people who give them a hard time. Like seriously, some of the people in line really just get mad because there’s 1 person checking out 8 people, and the. They bring a second person but now there’s like 16 people so it doesn’t matter anyways ? since the beginning of Covid, many businesses have failed to keep up and this family dollar had done a pretty good job at surviving (so far) and the employees deserve more pay (so do the managers) and everyone deserves more respect. Mind you, these people are worked ragged.those that don’t work hard get weeded out quick . The ones that stay endure hell. I recommend this family dollar. Other than hardly having nighttime L/XL pull-ups, they keep up on pretty much everything.”
“Well, it's a basic neighborhood dollar store. You can see/buy anything from a cheap lookin outfit- ground beef- cleaning supplies-Easter baskets-aux cord. lmfao ??♀️ I just passed through for a snack run on our movie night. There are these 1$ onion ring chips that my mom used to get for me since I was a kid here. They hold a special piece of my heart so if u like funions try them. . Cashiers are super polite and normally make lit conversation. Wear a mask.”

“The times I have visited this store while open the staff were friendly, as well as the store was decently kept organized. There were alot of packages that weren't stocked yet, but overall the store seemed clean. I think maybe once they hire any needed staff alot of issues would be resolved.”
“My local DG. It's pretty good considering it's location. It takes longer to get restocked than DGs closer to the city's heart. The staff are hit or miss, just like anywhere else. I've met some great cashiers and clerks there and I've also had the displeasure of being attended by some real lazy jerks. I've been going here for 5 years and for the most part everyone has been nice and helpful.”
“Not a regular shopper but will go when I need something in bulk for cheap. Decent selection of drawer organizers. Workers are so friendly at this store but overworked. I wish the shelves would be neater but they don't have time to straighten up, just restock. Shoppers could help by putting things back where they found them.”

“For the short staffing and hours this store has, they're doing a great job. Shelves are getting stocked with lots of options and all items are marked if they're above $1.25, and the staff does their best to accommodate customers. Honestly can't complain, I've seen worse Dollar Tree's around the Akron area.”

“I love this location everyone is very helpful and friendly. I've never seen anyone smoking or being rude like other reviews said. I don't think people realize a lot of these people are doing the jobs of 2 people you have to ring register and put product up in between customers and if you constantly have customers you can't get product put up. That's why there is product down aisles sometimes. These employees are trying their best for real y'all need to lighten up.”
“Wow this store has really changed in the past couple of months!!!! The parking lot finally got filled in. The inside of the store is so organized and clean. I was happy to see the isles cleaned up so I can finally push my cart through, but it's a bonus having everything perfectly stocked. Good job to whoever took charge. Also my family enjoys the guy that works second shift, he's very nice and greats us every time we walk in. I have had some employees do this in the past and we really appreciate it. Keep up the good work.”
