“I went to this store to return a private brand item that I had purchased at a different DG 20 miles away. The item had not been used and I had the receipt. I was told I would have to take the product to the store where I purchased the item. Considering that DG is not a franchise but is in fact a corporation, I called their corporate Customer Service line where they briefly researched the policy and then stated "Dollar General brand items must be returned to the store where purchased. However, private name brand items can be returned to any DG store in the US for full refund.'
This was one of two DG in my neighborhood that gave me the same runaround. Both stores had very friendly staff that wanted to help me but felt their hands were tied. Dollar General...Train your staff!!!”

I was having an AWFUL day that day and I’m socially awkward but when I got to the register she was smiling at me and she told me that I was pretty ? If she ever gets the chance to read this I just wanted to say thank you so much girl. I’ve been struggling a lot recently and you made me feel very seen ? I’ve thought about you almost every day since I was there and you’ve single handedly impacted me in a positive way. It’s easy to wake up and pick ourselves apart, to find all the pieces of ourselves that we would change if given the chance. It’s easy to find and focus on every last little flaw we can find. But there’s something beautiful about a stranger being able to see through the parts of you that you see and remind you that you’re more than your flaws. It’s so easy to get lost in the feelings of disdain we have for ourselves and I just wanted to thank her for reminding me of that ? I wanted to tell you that you have a BEAUTIFUL eye color and your hair was so gorgeous!! I was just taken aback and fighting tears and I couldn’t get the words out like I wanted to. Please, never stop being you baby ? you have a light in your eyes and a love in your heart that this world doesn’t value so much anymore. Never let anyone make you feel as if you’re too much or not enough because you matter to everyone that you meet ? your life brings SO much value to this world and I’m so thankful you were the cashier the day that I came in, a simple compliment really meant a huge deal to me and I hope you have the best days at work ?

“My local DG. It's pretty good considering it's location. It takes longer to get restocked than DGs closer to the city's heart. The staff are hit or miss, just like anywhere else. I've met some great cashiers and clerks there and I've also had the displeasure of being attended by some real lazy jerks. I've been going here for 5 years and for the most part everyone has been nice and helpful.”

“The times I have visited this store while open the staff were friendly, as well as the store was decently kept organized. There were alot of packages that weren't stocked yet, but overall the store seemed clean. I think maybe once they hire any needed staff alot of issues would be resolved.”

“This is really a nice store!! Unlike a couple of other Dollar Tree stores which I have shopped in, it is VERY clean. The shelves were well stocked and orderly. Aisles were not cluttered, again not like some of the other Dollar Tree stores in this town. It appears larger and has many items not found in other Dollar Tree stores, like a large selection of paint brushes and paint rollers. Although it's distance is a bit farther away than the closest Dollar Tree store to me, I definitely will again shop at this store again!”
