I have got to rave about my experience yesterday with hertz. I was in an accident that left my car totaled and me fighting to get a rental car with the at fault party's insurance. They set me up with enterprise who very candidly told me they could not help me cause they had no cars!? What!?I called hertz and Brandon was soooooo helpful. He offered to pick me us since I was without a vehicle. When he got to my house I knew I was going to be cutting it close on time at being able to make it back with the rental in order to pick my kids up from school. I explained my situation and Brandon went with me to the school to pick up my kids before taking me to get the rental car so that I would be confident we made it on time. AMAZING!He then drove my whole family over to the rental car and checked us out in about 10 mins tops with a nicer car than I expected. All in all I feel like I got level 10 service and will shout their praise from the rooftops. This was an example of wonderful customer service and I will be back!

This place in entirety is a joke; the office, the manager (Amber), the (non-existent) professionalism. Their favorite thing to do is give you a blank stare. It is not my job as the customer to know more about renting a car than they do.I called a week in advanced asking if there was availability and for a quote. I was clear about being a “young renter” (under 25) and understanding that there would be a fee for such circumstance. A gentleman gave me a quote both per day and for the duration of my requested rental. I double checked verbally with him that it included all fees, stating again that I was under 25.Fast forward to the day of my pickup and, in person and stating that I am under 25, I again ask the woman before continuing through the process for the quote. It was the same as previously given and I proceeded. We go through all the paper work and she takes my card to charge it. I (after reading the previous reviews and being a bit wary) step around her desk to where I can see the computer screen. The price she is about to swipe my card for is 25% higher than what I had been quoted three times now. When I ask “why?” she literally says “oh, you’re right, I don’t know”. She then inquired to the “manger” who tells me it is because I am a young renter and there is a fee for that. Am I going crazy or did I not double check that the quote included all fees (particularly that one) THREE SEPARATE times. Bringing this up I get nothing but blank stares. No offer to do anything about it, no conversation on why all of my careful conversations before had been for nothing, just stares. Later, they basically declare they did not want to do business with me.This location is making Byers Toyota look bad as a whole. All I can say is beware.

Dropped car off Sunday, due back Monday. Couldn't find a droppoff so took the key back the next day at 12 since they'reclosed on the weekend. Said because they didn't have a key they had to charge me an extra day. Apparently the dropoff location ended up being a slot of the toyotta service and repair door that has no markings refering to Hertz.

Excellent people relations! I had a car reserved at Enterprise in Marion, only to be told the day of pick- up that they really didn’t have anything. Hertz was fantastic to not only have a nice vehicle, but worked with me to upgrade to something nicer for a few dollars more.

Car was dirty inside and out. Scratches to paint expected. What appeared to be coffee splashed on the interior roof and some unknown yellow substance on the backs of the seat was questionable to if it had ever been cleaned. The car smelled sickening, as if it was heavily smoked in and then someone doused the car in heavy but cheap perfume. Despite airing car out, had to drive windows open for entirety of rental time.Radio was set to deafening level when first getting into the car and speakers sounds blown out.Vehicle had no wiper fluid, indicating no vehicle maintenance or wellness inspection completed between users. Car dealership was kind enough to refill as location had no fluid on site.Employee on hand not receptive or acknowledging status of vehicles interior condition when car returned.Informed dealership that arranged the rental that my patronage for service and repairs would be terminated if asked to get another vehicle from this entity.

Horrible customer serviceThe girl at the counter was so rudeWanted to charge fees that were never told attime of reservationWhen I told her I arrived by Uber she could care less about my ability to get back home...."Have a nice day" she said as I walked out the door with no way home. She was so rude and disrespectful she never once told me about the $500 security deposit that would be placed on my card for 15 days even though I spoke to her three times that morning to make sure I had everything I needed before arriving.

Hertz/Westerville in Byers Toyota provided excellent customer service, kind staff, and an excellent car to drive. I appreciate their hard work and guidance through securing a rental car. I highly recommend this location.

All the reviews are absolutely true about this location. Please be careful while picking cars from this location (best if you can choose a different location). The staff are dishonest. But if you really HAVE TO pick from this location make sure you take pictures of the car from every angle if not they will ding you for their poor maintenance of cars. Some crack that they didn’t mark while picking up and don’t trust the staff who marks the dings, they will intentionally miss damages and make you pay for it later.

I guess the reviews on here speak for themselves and I should have looked at them before I booked. I booked with this location out of convenience and being a short distance away from my home. Pickup and everything went smoothly but this licensee cannot ever answer their phone. While on my 12 hour drive from Ohio to Florida I noticed the air had been continually leaking in both front tires. Mind you I did not hit or run over anything, the tires had been dropping pressure the whole trip. I had purchased insurance through Expedia that would cover me in the event of a collision or if any damage were to occur but this did not cover roadside assistance/ tire issues. I called the Hertz roadside assistance line and they sent a AAA truck to look at the tires. They found some sort of puncture in the one tire which I paid out of my OWN pocket to repair, however he could not find an issue with the front left tire which is still leaking air (PSI has been at 36, but now is at 18 and dropping). As a 21 yo girl who is driving alone cross country I am worried about my safety and possibly going off of the road. Not to mention I already had to stop to put air in the tire before reaching my destination. I tried to let the “manager” Amber know my situation and instead of understanding the safety concern here or coming up with a solution she accused me of hitting something and that I would be responsible for any damages to the vehicle. There is no leak or damage to the tire. Yet she continued to be argumentative and say the car I was in was superior and that it was a user error. Why would I be responsible for an issue with the tire that was long-standing the entire trip? She was far from pleasant to talk to and I will NEVER book here again. If this is how Hertz is going to treat customers then you should take your money elsewhere.

Hopefully people will read these reviews before booking. One, this is a franchisee not a regular Hertz. Two, the "manager", Amber, is quite a disgusting human being who does not emote ANY sort of professionalism. Three, the cars for rent at their location are filthy, not maintenanced well (if at all), and are dangerous. Four, good luck getting them to answer the phone. Five, Amber has zero customer service and is very defensive probably because of the shoddy business they do and complaints they get so all she knows how to do is hang up the phone. Not only do not recommend renting from them, but just going to stay away from Hertz because of them. Talking to Hertz corporate this week to apprise them of this location's effect on their logo. Will also NOT recommend this Toyota dealership because they house these animals.

I had to take my car to a repair shop to be worked on. Hertz delivered my rental car to me at the shop and allowed me to drive off from there. When the repairs were done and I picked up my car Hertz allowed me to leave the car at the shop and picked up the rental car later. Very convenient and very friendly staff.

Sitting in the parking lot while the spouse went looking for the actual rental car place because they have no actual signs pointing out their direction. Plenty of people outside but nobody greets us to help.

I rented a car with them while mine was in the shop getting repaired. The cost was covered by my insurance, but a day later there was a charge for gas on my card because the tank was at "7/8" of a tank when it was returned even though I filled it up 10 minutes before dropping it off. The vehicle also had low air pressure in the tires when I picked it up so I had to deal the annoying light during my rental period. Otherwise service is friendly and quick. It is located inside the Toyota dealership with no signs that I saw so it can be hard to find. I will not be returning to this location.
