“We visited for Mass during a recent trip. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly. This is a huge church, and it was utterly packed on Saturday night. The parking/exit traffic was a bit of a situation, but the priest acknowledged it and said they are working towards a solution. Just plan to need extra time after Mass to get to your next destination.”

“Nice selection of times for mass and confessions. I do wish finding their times were easier to find on their website though (very bottom of homepage, top time set is for mass times, bottom time set is for confessions)Besides the technology drawback, it is a very beautiful church with a nice little community.”

“My husband and I were married at First Community Church in June and it was absolutely perfect. Jill was amazing to work with and made sure that every detail was taken care of and that everyone knew what they needed to do. The Church is beautiful, and I appreciated that they welcomed non members to have their ceremony there. The ceremony was exactly what we wanted and we feel lucky to have had our wedding here.”

“Indianola is the first church that I’ve been to that genuinely wants to talk about the difficult topics and it’s the only church that I’ve been to where everyone and anyone is 100% accepted no strings attached. It’s full of very nice people and hard working individuals involved in the community and various volunteer programs throughout Columbus and OSU campus.”

“St. Stephen's is a spiritual home for those who seek a community of justice, empathy, and compassion. For the two years I have attended, I have felt nothing but welcome here. The music is excellent, the church itself is beautiful, and the people who attend are very kind. There are many activities people can participate in, including young adult ministries, adult formations, choir, labyrinth walks, and potlucks. 10/10 would recommend!”

“If you’re in the mood for feeling God’s presence in your heart, this church is for you! Congregation is very loving and welcoming. Dress is casual so everyone fits in. Pastor John’s messages are reassuring and thought provoking… the kind that makes you remember the sermon and try to live it in the future. A real blessing to all 4 of us.”

“The people who are posting bad reviews are non-students who attend the Newman center church. Since the Paulist Fathers left, the majority of mass attendants are students, which creates a "less welcoming" environment for non-students, but a significantly better experience for students by allowing them to be surrounded by and motivated by their peers to grow in their faith. The Newman center is supposed to be first and foremost for students, not just anyone living in the university area. Additionally, the student population is much more traditional and practicing Catholic than the Paulist Fathers were, so I guarantee you the bishop's decision to remove them was due to student complaints, which are and should be of more value than the opinions of non-students for a church that is designed SPECIFICALLY for university students.”
