Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbus is a clean, pet-friendly hotel with great rooms and an amazing, friendly, and helpful staff. The service is excellent and accommodating. Rooms are nice, clean, and decently maintained, often featuring separate bedrooms from the kitchen and living areas, with some suites offering spacious open plans. The hotel provides a homey and comfortable atmosphere.
Amenities include a heated indoor pool and hot tub, a good free breakfast with lots of choices, a great gym with nice equipment, a basketball court, outdoor grills, a fire pit, and a common living area with a fireplace. There is also a laundry room. The location is away from major traffic noise.
Some logistical room issues exist, such as bathroom doors very close to the bed and bright, non-turn-off night lights, which can disturb sleep. The hotel is not considered very younger kid-friendly due to pool policies that restrict swimming near checkout time and only allow registered guests, which can disappoint children. The hotel is undergoing remodeling on the upper floors, with materials present. Overall, it is a great place to stay with no major complaints, especially for the rates and amenities offered.
The rooms are dirty and smell like they used to be smoking rooms with stains on the mattress and carpets. Doors don't close correctly. Staff is nice and lobby immaculate.
