Prompt and pleasant druggist. You had the drug we wanted while CVS and Kroger did not.

I had a frustrating experience at this pharmacy. I called ahead of time and was promised a syringe when I picked up my son's medicine. I mentioned it to the pharmacist, Brendan H., but he was not helpful at all. Typically, syringes are free with liquid medicine, and last time I was here to pick up my sons liquid medicine they were out of them. Now that they finally have them, he’s refusing to give me one. I have been a regular customer at this pharmacy for many years and I’m disappointed by the lack of assistance and professionalism in this situation. Please be advised I called ahead of time and was informed that I could get one.

I called this pharmacy in September 2024, after realizing that they had failed to bill my secondary insurance (Medicaid) even though they had the information. After all, I could pick up prescriptions at other pharmacies and not have a copay as they automatically billed my secondary insurance as protocol. I spoke to Colleen, who said she would see what she could do. A month later, nothing happened, and there was no follow up with me. So I called again, and spoke to Alex, a technician, who asked the pharmacist David about it. At this time, I was told they couldn’t backbill more than 1 month out due to their policy. However, as someone who works in healthcare, and knows that you can back-bill Medicaid up to a year from the date of service, I found this policy ridiculous. So I got a statement of medical expenses, and contacted Medicaid to ask for reimbursement. They told me I had to contact Meijer customer service, saying that Medicaid can’t do anything. I’m out almost $100, because someone failed to bill the correct secondary insurance. I didn’t have this problem when I was on strictly Medicaid in 2023, but all of a sudden they didn’t have my insurance information on file anymore? I’m disappointed in the failure of this pharmacy to (1) either bill my secondary insurance initially like they should have and/or (2) failure to make things right by billing the secondary insurance and reimbursing me for payment that I never should have made.

I’ve been pleased with the Meijer pharmacy. If you use the app, you can re-order your refills and do “Xpress checkout, “ where you can pay for it before you get to the pharmacy so everything‘s ready to go. I also like their drive-through window, so I don’t have to leave the car and wait in line inside.

Multiple instances where we have been lied to about times prescriptions would be ready. Previously, arrived hours after the time told to me on the phone, only to be told it’s not ready. After waiting for an hour, I was told they don’t have any and it should be filled the next day.

Dan mentions that he can't except Medicaid for COViD Shots. All other pharmacies do. Dan please amend your rules. Both OSU and Walmart, Target and CVS and all over pharmacy are accepting and giving shots for free.

Prescriptions often often unfilled even though I get the text that they are ready. Getting something filled has taken over a week due to ineptitude.
