“Lots of car models at a good price. Not as much Gunpla (Bandai model kits of anime robot if you aren’t familiar) as I would’ve wanted. I just went to HobbyTown USA in Mentor instead to get my Gunpla fix. They have lots of old car & driver, motor trend, etc. car magazines for a dollar each and I got 5 or six to read and learn about cars from. Not what I wanted as a Gunpla builder but they do have lots of slot cars and car model kits, tanks, and trains. Employees were yammering about drama in their personal lives the whole time which could’ve been done in the break room instead when there are people in the store. I don’t feel like coming back because I know I could just go to Haven Hobby or HobbyTown USA. It’s good if you have nowhere else to go for Gunplas and car models.”

“My first experience here was collecting and playing magic in 2015 as a high schooler. My enthusiastic questions were met with kindness and guidance by the owner. Went in for a few drafts and then I went off to college. Years later in 2020, I come back around and the owner called me by name despite the passage of time being so many years! It made me feel like I found a local gaming community to call home. This is the kind of experience and welcome you’ll find here! I especially love seeing the welcoming environment for younger generations learning their hobbies and competing in drafts, just like when I first found this place.-Kai”

“Good customer service. A nice arts and crafts sore. Looks like a small Hobby Lobby. Lots of sales. Shadow boxes of all types, throw pillows, painting kits, exctra.”

“Michaela is still falling short of the needs covered by Joanne Fabric, but there are signs up saying more is coming we will see. The last time I was in the store I waited almost 10 minutes to have some fabric cut. They do have a decent selection of project kits for kids and the prices are good. I’m a bit new to this store so I’m going to give them more time especially since they are not filling the void left by Joanne Fabrics.”

“Standing in the checkout line with a couple items and a family emergency came up. I had to set the items on the counter and leave. I have shopped at this Mayfield Heights location before and the associate at the register did recognize me from previous visits. The emergency that came up had me in a rush and visibly upset . When I return to GameStop 3 days later, that same associate had set aside the two items that I had to leave behind and asked me if I would still like to purchase them. The fact that he had seen that I was dealing with an issue of importance and for him to be kind enough to hold those items for me when I returned was a service I've never experienced before. Walking back into the store and to see the items handed back to me and asked if I would still like to purchase them, actually got me emotional because I was buying items for my son who is in the hospital. That was the reason I had to leave quickly three days prior. I was so taken by the moment that I regret not being able to remember the gentleman's name. He works at the Mayfield Heights gamestop. This gentleman is not just a great GameStop employee who does a good job..... He's a great person who's good at life. Thank you GameStop for hiring such great people. I'll be going to GameStop first before even ordering online with this kind of service”
