About Humane Society-Preble County
Humane Society-Preble County is a privately owned, no-kill, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping abused, abandoned, and unwanted cats and dogs in the Preble County area. They work closely with the county-funded Dog Warden to minimize euthanasia and maintain a waiting list for owner-surrender animals. All animals are fully vetted before adoption, and the staff aims to match each pet with the right family, ensuring a "furever" home.
Reviewers praise the exceptional care provided by the staff, noting how deeply they care for the animals. Many have had positive adoption experiences, highlighting the cleanliness of the facility and the well-being of the pets. The adoption fee includes spay/neutering, microchipping, and initial immunizations, making it a responsible choice for prospective pet owners. The shelter's commitment to finding loving homes for animals is recognized as a true labor of love, with many recommending it as the first stop for anyone looking to adopt a furry friend.
