Ima give it a 2 star for the lady that answered on Tuesday 12/2/2025 for maintenance around noon. For one I’m trying to set up an appointment I’m also explaining the issues and all I get is a “ok” okay what? We paused for a min she didn’t say anything else but an okay and I had to ask am I calling the right thing? She said “yes” in a pissy way. She said I could just walk in that day but she couldn’t give me an estimated time. I told her “no not today I just want to set up a actual time during the week” she said “you can come today” at this point I asked my other question that involved coverage she said she would transfer my call she can’t help me then I left a message for mat I believe and haven’t heard a word back.. love my Honda but seriously you guys are all about it in the moment to lock that sale but to help after the fact nope. I posted a 5 start review 4 years ago. Mainly cause the cars are great but came on here to change it cause what a waste of time.

Went to Great Lakes Honda not expecting to make a purchase. I was just browsing to see what they had.
Mattayo was a great help in making sure I got to test drive and see what cars interested me. He worked with his manager to give me a great deal after talking about the monthly payments I was looking for and the expected trade-in value of my old car.
Happy to say I got a deal done with Mattayo and I highly recommend for others to work with him if you are in the market for a new vehicle.

We worked with Mo Alfar to get our preowned Passport. He stayed late two days for us (not planned on our part) to get our deal done. Great customer service!! James, one of the finance manager, was also extremely helpful. Neither were pushy or high pressure. Just friendly and willing to get the deal done!

I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment with the level of honesty and respect shown during my uncle’s recent service experience at this Honda dealership.
When he purchased his new CR-V, the sales representative clearly stated that he would receive two free oil changes as part of the purchase. Up to this point, the dealership had somewhat honored that commitment. However, during his last visit, a service representative specifically told him not to return until the maintenance light came on. He followed that instruction exactly.
When he returned—at the exact time he was told to—the dealership informed him that the oil change was no longer free and attempted to charge him nearly $100 for it. This abrupt change, after he followed their guidance, feels dishonest and completely unacceptable.
A promise is a promise. Telling a customer to wait, then using that timing to deny the service they were guaranteed, shows a lack of integrity and respect. My uncle walked away feeling misled and undervalued, and frankly, so did I.
Honda is known for reliability, but the customer experience at this location has proven otherwise. Very disappointed.

I just felt it was necessary to leave a review on this dealership as they have provided me with the BEST experience. I have been to many local dealerships, and none of them have had the hospitality that the people at this dealership have! They had no problem accommodating my needs when it came to pricing. I am obsessed with my new HRV, and couldn't have left the dealership happier! With the holidays being near, they were able to get me into a comfortable payment, along with good rates! Will be returning for services and when it is time to upgrade :).

We were told multiple times over multiple days by Caroline and her manager, Hillary, that Honda Great Lakes could beat another local Honda dealer’s price and offer a specific financing option. After driving out to Elyria, we learned they don’t even offer that financing and couldn’t beat the price. It felt like a bait-and-switch just to get us in the door. A complete waste of our time.
If you’re considering this dealership, be very cautious—they were not upfront or accurate with us.

The worst experience of my life. I went there everything seemed good test drove a Honda CRv. I told Nathan there was no gas in it that was Ding 1. Then we go in and do some paperwork and the CRV is priced at 9 grand. The give me a financing look at 72 months at 236 a month. That comes out to 16 grand over 72 months. I was like what that doesn't make any sense. The car has 154 thousand miles on it. So I leave and Nathan texts me and starts questioning on where I got the number. I am like Nathan this what you said he says I never said that I am like what seriously. This is predatory lending. I will never shop for a car here ever again.

I recently purchased a 2023 Honda Odyssey. As I’m filling out the financial paperwork to finish the purchase. They take the van to detail. When we get the van back the “detail” was awful. The display screens are scratched to a point where when you drive there is a major glare. It was not like this on the test drive. I take it back to the dealership to get it handled and they are unwilling to fix it. I had to majorly push for anything to get done. They send it to another detail shop and still say that nothing can be done. Now, I have to fight even more for them to be accountable for their mistake. It adds even more stress to buying a vehicle. The financial guy told me, “it’s not in the best interest of the dealership to fix the screens.” They prioritize filling their wallet over helping their customers. Very bad experience

Great experience purchasing a 2023 RAM 1500 from Great Lakes Honda West. Edward was a very professional and efficient sales manager. We are located in Kansas City and they made the long-distance purchase very easy. The online listing was 100% accurate regarding vehicle condition, pricing and dealership fees. I appreciate the honesty and care they showed throughout the process. Edward had the truck ready to roll when I arrived after flying to Ohio to pick up and drive home. Our company purchases 5-10 vehicles per year throughout the midwest and I highly recommend this dealership and their staff based on our experience with them.
