“Great shopping experience. The store while not as big as some of the others was nice and clean with all kinds of fun treasures to be found at reasonable fair prices. The young lady up front, Monica, was very engaging and polite, especially with the older folks, which in todays world which was so refreshing to see. Thumbs up!”

“Fantastic selection of higher end clothing. They collect clothes, give clothing to people who are interviewing or beginning a new job. Items not useful for working like party dresses, resort wear, and men's and women's suits (an excess are donated) are sold in the bout. Your purchases benefit people looking for jobs.”

“Went to go in the pool very early since my husband went. They have free weights and machines and a walking track. I think they had the treadmills, too, but didn't look to see if they still did.”

“I take my Mom to play bingo there about every 2 weeks along with my Aunt and Cousin. We have a lot of fun. The food prices are pretty good. Why pay 10 bucks for a tenderloin at the food trailer when they are around 1/2 that there. The food has been pretty good. The atmosphere is fun! We've made some friends there and that's nice. The people that work there, you can also have some fun with. Tho I am not a member (I can't join because I don't have papers for family military service) I can enjoy the bingo nights”

“Solid Goodwill with very nice and helpful staff! Cathy and Twyla helped me at the register and were very friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. This location is cleaner and more organized than most. Huge Halloween section, at the moment, so I'm not sure what's typically offered in that space in other times of the year. Oddly, there was a lot of new items, priced accordingly, more like a Dollar Store. I was able to find a nice used Thermos, water bottle and two pieces of vintage glass that I liked.”

“My grandma introduced me to The Gleaning Place a couple years ago, My first pieces purchased were 2 oriental, hand-painted ginger jar vases in deep navy background and pink fruit pattern painted over the navy.i saw them and immediately knew they belonged in my dining room. Ever since that very day, it’s been my absolute favorite thrift store to visit when I would come home from South Carolina (which was maybe 4 ish times since then) my husband and 2 dogs just moved back to the Dayton area (Tipp City!) and my first thought was —“ I am going to be SO close to my favorite place—the Gleaning Place!” So now, I get to enjoy coming whenever I want and it’s really one of my favorite parts of moving back since I love to shop second hand and decorate our house with re-used items. Kitty is always such a pleasure — as well as all of the amazing volunteers that work here!”

“Went to a great quarter auction at the Amvets for Rescue Me animal rescue organization. This was a nice big place to have an event. The only drawback I see and the reason I did not give it 5 stars was there is only 1 ramp to get into the place and that is if you go through the bar (you know the drill, go in the back way to get to where you need to go) This is Amvets! Put in a couple of small ramps it would not be much and would be so much easier for those of us in a wheelchair. Well its been 3 yars and there is still no ramp in the front! Really, why is this so hard? It is harder going in the back way where there is a ramp because there is all kinds of furniture in the way. !! It really saddens me when AMVETS will not make it accessible for those of us in a wheelchair. We wonder why no one else does? ?”

“Friendship is about the same as other facilities I've had the pleasure of being. The food isn't the best that is a steady complaint of mine. But. There's always some people that go over an beyond expectations, and then you have the few who give places like this a bad name.”
