I recently visited Grisme for new tires, and I'm impressed. The staff is not only friendly but also highly professional. The pricing is great, and the service was surprisingly fast. The entire process of getting new tires was smooth and efficient. Highly recommend!

This is a friendly and professional place to bring your vehicle. They were attentive to details and, while other Grismer locations had difficulty solving vehicle issues, this group had no issues and presented solutions that worked for me. From the Ford Fusion to the Ford Taurus, both with some age on them, they fixed long standing issues with little effort and I considered low cost. Highly recommend this Gristmer Tire and Auto Service Center location, no other location comes close!

I took my car in for an oil change over the summer. Everything was fine until about a month ago my engine started making a loud vibrating noise when I would accelerate. I took it to Pit Stop in Fairborn and they informed me that whoever changed my oil last (Grismer) replaced the oil plug with the wrong size, and put it in crooked so all my oil was leaking out. This isn’t the first or even second problem I’ve had with them either. They have put on bad parts (luckily warranty covered them), and they’ve messed up an alignment and failed to actually fix it. So I’m officially done going here. I will say the managers are super nice though.

I brought my truck and car in for rebalance and rotation on tires we purchased there. We were presented with over $1000.00 in needed repairs on the car and replacing a cabin air filter for $75.00. No thanks, I didn't bring my vehicles in for an inspection and made it very clear balance and rotate. Don't adjust tire pressure either.

Beware!!! Grismer Tire in Springfield put brakes on our 2018 Challenger and less than a week later the right front caliper was heating up and making noise. It was also confirmed that they did not bleed the brakes. Chris one of the managers did not seem to care. We were charged 1100.00. $600 later we got new calipers.

Was told that control arm bushings was bad , he had his finger on the ball joint, ask how he knew the arm was bad he said I just look at it and told me both side was bad. Just by looking at parts he knew that , do not trust them, good for me I knew better than that, control arms on both side was then checked by 2 others and they found NO bad parts, had the vehicle alignment done some where else.

I have had Grismer in Hilliard, service all my and my family's vehicles for over 20 years. From general maintenance and tires to expensive major repairs. I spent tens of thousands of dollars over this period. The work had always been excellent and completed promptly at a fair cost. Two events ocurred this year that forced me to no longer patronize Grismer. Early spring 2023 my wife took her vehicle there for an oil change and tire rotation. After driving for a few days, on her way to work, she noticed the vehicle was shaking. She called Grismer and made an appointment after work. They found that all 5 lug nuts on the front driver wheel were loose. They determined they were not tightened properly during the tire rotation. Mistakes do happen, there appeared to be no damage to the wheel so she was satisfied with their contrite honesty and response. The second event occurred this summer 2023 when my son took his vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation as well. A few days after the service, the front end began shaking as he was driving home. It was still open business hours for Grismer so he drove there to have the problem checked out. Unbelievably, it was loose lug nuts again on one of the wheels ! They explained since it was an older vehicle rust often accumulates on the brake drum preventing the tire rim from seating properly and so the nuts can tighten. They cleaned the rust drum surface and put the wheel back on. Four weeks later my son's vehicle engine had a major malfunction while he was driving on the freeway. The engine had seized up and it sounded like a cylinder was blown out. We had it towed to Grismer Hilliard. They called the next day and informed us the engine was blown due to barely any oil in it. They said I needed to come and have the vehicle towed from their facility. When I went to get it, they showed me the oil dip stick was not registering any oil in the crank case. I asked why there was no sign of an oil leak anywhere on the engine, frame or ground and their answer was it must have been burning oil. ??? No engine smoke, no oil leak visible. I guess the distracted mechanic that didn't tighten the lug nuts must not have refilled the crank case during the oil change. I got no satisfactory response from Grismer Management who offered a ridiculous dismissive theory of unusual oil consumption by this particular engine, that however was never noted before during previous oil changes. They lost a loyal customer over this.

This team is friendly, and are always willing to explain the details of the work at any level. I always appreciate their pragmatic and caring advice and that they offer options so you can choose what works best with your budget. On top of it - they are a lot of fun to chat with if you have to wait while your car is being worked on!

Daughter had a tire blow out on expressway. Luckily she was able to get off at Fairborn exit and limped it to you guys. She was on her way to a horse show and thought for sure her day was ruined. Thanks to the crew at Grismer, she was back to enjoying her day in way less than am hour. Thank you guys for taking such good care of my daughter. I really appreciate it. A lot!

This is my third maintenance visit at Grismer in Fairborn for my 2011 Mazda 3, with one visit including a new set of tires. The write-up staffers are always super friendly and the work performed on my car has been top notch. They are careful to check for things that may need preventative attention, yet they do not pressure on unnecessary things. I've been very happy putting my car in their care.

Absolutely will never ever return here. Had an appt this morning just to get a diagnostic done. Asked how long it would take because we wanted to wait on it. Was told they couldn’t tell me that, it could be an hour it could be 3 or more. Fine whatever, was also never told a price. $150 per hour to maybe tell me what’s wrong with it?? I agreed but didn’t want to get charged hundreds of dollars. My boyfriend called after 2 hrs someone told him, “Let me check on that and cal you back” then proceeds to not cal him back. After 3 hrs of having it I tell him to just go pick it up, it’s not worth it. As they see him get there and walk in the sprint to the car to get it inside the bay. THEY HAD YET TO EVEN BEGIN!!! I get it if they’re busy but why not communicate it to us, why say let me check on that when they knew damn well they had yet to even start. The whole thing was fishy from the start. Be very careful of trusting these people with your car. Also, when my bf told them to give him the keys, the guy said he still had to pay, what for what???? You hadn’t even done anything yet.

Awesome experience. I had a 330 appointment. I got there about 320. My car was on the rack by 325. And I was leaving Grismer before 4pm. They provided me detailed information of what maintenance needed to be done in the future. They were professional and friendly. My oil was changed and new filters put it.

I went to Grismer to get a tire patch. They were friendly, polite, professional, and quickly identified that the problem was a balancing weight that was pulling the tire away from the wheel. The fix was at a decent price. So why 3 stars? Because of the quote for recommended maintenance. My F150 is due for fluid changes and hose replacement, and all of the service they recommended is appropriate for 100k mi maintenance (although Ford recommends some of the fluids be switched out at 150k). However, the quote for these procedures is absolutely inappropriate. The cost of the fluid flushes is par for the course, although many of these systems don’t even need a flush; just a fluid exchange. The spark plug quote is what really got under my skin. A $500 quote to replace 8 plugs? I asked why. They said “usually on these models you have to remove the intake manifold.” Guys, this is a Coyote 5.0L V8. It’s one of the most common truck engines. See the picture: the coils are held in by a single clip and a bolt, each. Switching the plugs on this engine is a less-than-an-hour job. Anyone who works on cars should know this. So either they were straight up lying to me, or they don’t know what they are talking about.Never forget that some mechanics make their living off of other people’s ignorance and fear of their vehicles. This quote demonstrated to me that Grismer is not a reliable shop for auto maintenance. I’m sure they would do a fine job, but you will drastically overpay for services if you give them your business. My advice is to find a mechanic you trust who is able to talk you through, in detail, why they want to do something to your car. As for me, I’ll be shopping elsewhere.Edit: Manager of Grismer called me 3 days after this review. He apologized for misquoting and stated the radiator hoses should be about $320 and the spark plugs should be $360. I’ve already planned on doing this myself and still think this is too costly, but I appreciated the call.

I called in the morning with a staple in my SUV tire and Brian was very kind. When I arrived I felt welcome and the service was genuine and honest. I ended up needing a new tire but felt so satisfied I booked an appointment for my car the next day. I even brought the guys donuts! After joking around with some ladies in the waiting room about cabin filters and how overpriced they are. We all agreed it was a good service test for them to offer to have us change them ourselves. To my surprise Patrick the store manager overheard us. He came into the waiting room and insisted on showing me my cabin filter in the garage. After being confrontational and mentioning revenue being nice. I simply stated that it's a small thing but shows a lot about service in a company. When I returned both women I was chatting too asked if I was okay as they saw how abrasive and confrontational Patrick was. While paying Patrick, did apologize but did not seem sincere and put the blame on me saying "I felt that way" not that he was indeed confrontational and genuinely sorry about it.This went from an amazing experience with the potential of life long loyalty to never coming back and feeling intimidated and discriminated for being a woman with some car knowledge.
