Some lady, I think her name is Karen, is just following me around telling me my kids aren’t allowed to do anything.

This location had a tournament for Basketball yesterday and was horrible they are cheaters, racist and will do anything for a team with more whites to win. And is okay with a man touching a woman and if she voices her opinion will not keep you safe at all do not recommend dealing with this bad location they are horrible!

I've only recently joined but I really like the Fairborn Y. The staff are consistently very kind and helpful. The pool/workout room are clean, and there's a variety of activities to choose from.

Staff are kind and welcome me with a member packet but that's not all. They gave me gym access to my 12 year old not free weight I think it's not fair to do a swim test to be in deep in no matter what Y I go to they ask. Pool is often clean they should take that sign down it say backyard pool

30 minute swim lesson in level 4. Kid swam less than 10 seconds total. Yes, you read that correctly, 10 seconds! Huge waste of time and money. We won’t be attending the rest of the month

This place has become the WORST place for teens.... that is IF they make any gym time open to them at all. Front desk employee is always bringing her kid to work. The hours are inconsistent and they don't keep info updated on their website. Past employees have reported the sexual harassment of teens but it's apparently ignored and they quit. Xenia has allowed a multiple time accused child predator to open up a branch of his cult in their facility. What is going on with this place?!?! I hope it gets shut down!

Google hours say open at 12pm, I got here at 12:30 and there were no cars in the parking lot. At 12:45 a worker shows up and unlocks all the doors, and lets 2 people (who are not workers in). I walked in at 12:49 and she said "we don't open until 1pm." She let two other people in, and the hours on Google are incorrect. Sounds like poor management to me. Update: it's 12:51 and she let someone in behind me, while I had to wait in my car until 1pm. This is ridiculous.

Be careful of this place and their shady business practices. Once you terminate your membership, they will continue charging you despite no payment on file - and then send that to collections. You are much better off going to Planet Fitness or other gyms in the area.

Trashy place to go. Just told my 2 year old he can’t see Santa because they sold out of tickets when their post never said anything about limited tickets. Ignorant staff as well. Not worth any subscription or anything. Clueless people. Should close down.

Hello! I signed my daughter up for ballet at the Fairborn branch back in February. The class kept getting pushed back and pushed back because the instructor was “injured”, and the class never happened. I have called and called many times trying to get ahold of Codee for a refund but he has yet to respond. We will no longer be using this YMCA location for our daughter to participate in sports. I have several documents of proof for payment of the ballet class. Please contact me ASAP to resolve this issue. Thank you!

They may b a little small but they have a nice set up and the employees really do care. Plus they go that extra mile to make a difference.

Disappointing. I joined because it was one of the few gyms that would allow cancelation by email, but there isn't enough support for non-experts to be able to get started.

As we all know, YMCA come in a variety of packages and refreshes. Some are swanky and recently renovated (Cincinnati Ohio had a huge overhaul in 2020) while others are a little more rustic with older buildings that feel like part maze part school and equipment that has seen several trips around the sun. The Fairborn Y sits somewhere in the middle. Not new, not dilapidated. The free weight room is a converted racquetball court. The exercise machines are all in great condition, but feel squished together into one smaller room, so that when you are using the chest fly machine, you can feel the breath of the guy on the leg press machine and the grunts of the barbell warrior vibrate in your chest. It is close quarters, but everyone is polite. The locker rooms are located in a back hallway and up a couple steps and I don't know about accessibility options, but it is also tight quarters in the locker rooms, especially the bathrooms. Two stalls are jammed into a corner, so plan your potty visits with time to spare. It definitely gets the job done and you can get a great workout in if you already know what you are doing. But for people new to the gym or to working out, I think they could do a better job of making you feel welcome and making it clear who you can go to for questions if you have them. The front desk folks were friendly, but the three times I have been there so far, the staff member in the weight room is on the computer or their phone and doesn't even look up to acknowledge people who are at the water cooler 3 feet away. I'm not entirely sure they ARE an employee. All in all, it is a solid workout and a fine stop if you find yourself in town. You can't beat the YMCA network and as I travel all over, I am grateful to have a place to get my sweat on.
