“I lived at the children’s home about 35 years ago. Back then it was ran by the original owner Barb (I think that’s her name). Her daughters worked there too.I ran away from this place so many times I can’t count. I will say, it wasn’t horrible. It wasn’t great. But not the worst I’d seen. I think one of the things that really got to me was the only thing for us to do on most days was eat. The food was great. Homemade real food that we helped cook. But there was nothing else for us on a regular basis. We did occasionally take trips. I remember Barb taking camping and going to Jellystone Park and somewhere with caves. It was cool.I also remember Barb being so angry she kicked a door down. Still, it was a decent safe place to be.I can only imagine that it’s gotten better..at least I hope it has.”

“Serve city is a wonderful place I would have been on the streets for months if it hadn't been for them. I ate great had a comfortable bed to sleep in every night. Got mass clothes. You could leave at 4am an not have to be back till 9pm. They ask you to do one little choir that too maybe 10 min. I absolutely loved this place. Thank you all for everything that was done for me.”

“Leaving 5 stars for the location listed on the address but the review is for the highland location - the bald man at highland shouldn’t have taken this job if he hates kids so much. He’s rude and always in a bad mood, I watched the other man in charge tell a child he could have something then the bald man ran over and snatched it from him. The kid said the other man told him he could have it and he said “well if that’s tthe he then you can get it tomorrow when mrs. Christy is here”. Then watched him yell at another kid to sit down. Idk what I thought but this is not how I imagined the boys and girls club to be and the teacher last year was a lot more pleasant. my nephew said it’s very different from last year and he hates going to boys and girls club this year and now I see why .”

“I have been going here for years and they all deal with a ton. So many rude and disrespectful people that think everything should be about them. For them to be called lazy and not answering the phone are those that think everything should be about them. For you all working there I appreciate all you do and I've seen wat u go through and I truly thank you and misery loves company.”

“Really happy to see that The Salvation Army in this area is contributing as much as they have been to the community. They offer a Hot lunch on Fridays along with something to take home with you. The staff is extremely nice and if you happen to have a animal with you they will bring you something to the door so that way the animal isnt left alone. They do the Lunchs on Fridays at Noon-1,1:30 and anyone is welcome. The food they serve is usually something well though and amazingly cooked. Sometimes they offer gallons of chocolate milk, tea and even juice donuts and breakfast sandwiches. Simply love all that they do for Hamilton. My hats off to all that contribute!”

“There is a great selection of women's clothing except for jackets and sweatshirts.
The prices have increased in prices of $2 for almost everything. This is happened in Goodwill stores all over the country. In Ohio and Florida, dresses went from $5.99 to $7.99.”

“Hamilton County Communications is the heart of the Hamilton County 911. Centrally located, the center is responsible for all the 911 calls made in the county. Operators at the center spend about a year on specialized training to assist the community. My children and I attended a field trip at the center. On top of the important job that they preform, the center conducts various educational programs that they present to the communities located within Hamilton County. The program we attended included a PowerPoint presentation about what constitutes as an emergency, and what information is needed when calling for help. They explained how to be looking out, and what information may lead to the apprehension of a suspect. Children learned about what to do for emergencies involving people being injured, and emergencies that are criminal based. The presenter was very supportive/ welcoming of the children's questions. Attendees were able to hear some 911 calls. This drove home to the kids the importance of staying calm, and knowing their personal information. The visit ended with a tour of the call center. We all left with a greater understanding of the way 911 works.”

“Very nice baseball complex. Fields were well maintained, infields were well maintained, great concession booth, ample amount of porta johns. Parking is a little tight, but there are a lot of parking spots around the complex, including parking on the grass near the back ball fields.”
