“My fiance and I have lived at LC gahanna for 3 years and just closed out our chapter there recently with the purchase of our home. I wanted to write about our personal experience with them and hopefully this is helpful for anyone looking to move there.

1st: I want to say overall our experience was positive. We liked the area, made friends with some neighbors, and loved the layout of our townhome. Speaking of that, our experience was in a 3 story unit with garage. The sound deadening between units was satisfactory and the garage was nice.

2nd: We mainly kept to ourselves, always was on time with payments, and got lucky with really never needing any serious maintenance requests. The couple times we needed maintenance, they came soon enough and were fine to deal with. I feel like we weren’t ever a problem tenant, and because of that, we never ran into any serious snags that other people may run into at LC.

3rd: We certainly had our run ins of unsatisfactory things happen while at LC that include attempted break ins to our cars, annoying problems with people in the neighborhood being loud and so on. Also I will mention the reviews about getting locked into an internet plan, the exuberant utilities costs and crime in the neighborhood are all accurate. Once again, I didn’t find many of these things to be a huge personal problem for us. Our utility bill ranged from 125 on the low end up to 400. I will also say that they will charge you 95 dollars for a cleaning fee, but expect you to clean the apartment to be “move in ready” We did in fact clean our apartment very very well before handing the keys back over and we did get our deposit back. I do think that it’s silly that they make you pay that.

I don’t think I’d say necessarily whether or not I’d recommend LC due to the inconsistent experiences for others, but I can say that we did think positively of our experience and would do it again at this point. Hopefully this is somewhat helpful to the person reading the reviews, just as we did before we signed our first lease!”

“Haley is super sweet, the place is a good price for the location and extremely secure (like Alcatraz secure). It’s still quite outdated, and the staff is not the fastest at performing requests. If money is tight and you need a place to live until you can build up enough to go to a better location, then I would recommend. As far as living here long term for several years, I would not”

“Although I ultimately chose a different apartment community that better fit my current needs, I couldn't let my experience at The Gramercy go without recognition.

From my very first interaction through the tour and follow-up, Kelsey was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely took the time to answer every question I had without ever making me feel pressured. She made what can often be a stressful apartment search feel easy and enjoyable.

The community itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a welcoming atmosphere. You can tell the team takes pride in creating a place that residents are excited to call home.

Even though I ended up going in a different direction, I left with nothing but positive impressions. If you're considering The Gramercy, I'd absolutely recommend scheduling a tour and asking for Kelsey. She represents the community exceptionally well.

“I really enjoyed my stay at Albany Commons. I may return someday. Quiet, nice, and very enjoyable community. I just wish my upstairs neighbors would have quieted their children down before 1am. I have to be up at 5am some days. I did turn them in, but it still did not get better. So I opted to search for sleep.”

“Current Resident: By far some of the friendliest and most sincere staff, from the front office to the maintenance crew. Today’s work order prompted this review because they not only showed up within an hour, but also fixed the issue and changed a lightbulb for me within that same hour.The complex always looks clean and welcoming, they take care of the snow and ice speedily whenever needed, a great first place to live in Columbus for me and my partner and our cats!”

“We have lived here for over 4 years. This apartment was perfect when we moved in. Spotless. The grounds and pool are well maintained. Appreciate the seasonal decor. The office staff is stellar. Special call out to Nicole, Seth and Ken. Kind, thoughtful and caring. Always available and ready to assist. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently. The neighborhood is quiet and our neighbors great. The location is perfect. Close to everything. We love it here, and highly recommend.

UPDATE. I stopped by the office today at 10:00am to notify them my washing machine was not working. Melvin took care of it within hours. Great service!!”

“This is a one of a kind building. The architecture is beautiful, Ohio’s landscape is mostly postmodern architecture but this building is just stunning. Knowing that is from 1924 and is this well conserved is remarkable. If you’re visiting Ohio like I was, this should be one of your stops: appreciate the views, the decoration, the amount of detail in doors, ceilings, lighting, for me the art-deco/baroque/whimsical architecture was just fantastic. Also the crew are friendly and welcoming so for me it was a 10/10.”

“Living here at Slate Hill these past 5 months has been fantastic!!!! I love it here!!!! Abbey, Zay, Nick and the maintenance staff have been wonderful!!! Any requests asked to fix anything or be replaced has been done promptly and professionally!!!! My apartment with all its amenities and garage are fabulous!!!!

The newsletters and the pool being repaired and sharing other pool location until fixed, awesome: beautiful clubhouse with free access, fantastic Starbucks coffee machine and amenities, pool party with fabulous prizes!!!!, food trucks, free: herb garden package, school supplies, fun licence plate game and prizes, friendly library house, special clippers tickets were all wonderful!!!

Slate Hill is 2 minutes from my work place and so convenient to all the shopping, restaurants, gas stations and High Banks park nearby!!!! I will be staying a long time at Slate Hill!!!!

“Maintenance Repairs: I Putin an order to repair my cupboard, the shelf had fallen. My garbage disposal wasn’t working and my sliding door to the patio was hard to open. John, came right in and fixed all of the issues in less than an half hour. I was impressed! Wonderful job! Thanks so much!”

“Just moved out recently! And it was truly amazing experience. Always greeted with kindness by all the staff especially. Maintenance is usually fast and same day and if not usually communicates when things will be done. “I’ve really enjoyed living at Arbors at Turnberry. It’s peaceful and quiet, and the staff has always been friendly and quick to help with anything I’ve needed. The community feels safe and well taken care of. It’s a nice place to come home to after a long day.”

“I LOVE this apartment! I’ve been here for almost 2 years. It’s definitely my favorite apartment of all time. I love the two doors, one is a back door to the fire escape the other has a locked downstairs door where one must buzz to get in. I feel very safe due to it.My neighbors are wonderfully nice, polite and quiet too. Mixed crowd of college students to working professionals. Thankfully the walls are so thick most people can’t hear anything and the reverse is true too.Yes it is very old but that’s it’s charm! My suggestion for most people when living here: buy ceramic heaters off of Amazon for winter. Two is suffice. Get a 3rd one for backup or if you need to be toasty. My electric bill is never over $60 a month. I notice that if your neighbors run their air you won’t have to run yours as often.The only issue outside of the actual apartment are noise and parking.A. Tape your parking pass to your window to avoid towing from shamrock.B. Get city parking passes they’re only $25 a year!!! A Steal compared to most cities.C. Buy at least two noise machines! The bars and their patrons can get LOUD at night, and I mean ANY NIGHT. I run at least one during the week and two-three during the weekend.Otherwise it’s an adorably peaceful place to live.”

“Very nice complex. Exceptionally clean. Gina was a great manager in taking care of business and moving in. I was surprised that security wasn't more on top of a couple things on car incidents. When you sign no smoking that should be strictly enforced because of people with health problems. That is what patios is for. Just would like to see that in future for all involved. The maintenance man Mr. Charles is top notch. He is an officer and gentlemen. He knows his stuff. This man should be a public Relations man. Hats off to him. “I had a great experience at Founders Park. The property is well-maintained, clean, and has a really welcoming atmosphere. What stood out the most was Nick—he was extremely professional, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. He took the time to answer all my questions and made everything smooth and stress-free.

“I’ve lived here going on 5 years. Sadly I’m looking for a 2 bedroom so my stay here ends. I love my apartment, it’s small and quiet. The office people are very nice and helpful and also understanding. Trust me I give them a headache lol. When I need something fix they fix it in a timely manner. I have my own drive way so don’t have to worry about not having a spot when I get off work. Haven’t had any bug issues which I’m happy about because these other apartments I’m looking at seem to have a big problem with roaches. One thing is my neighbors. I don’t complain to the office about them. I just ignore them. I’m sure they complained about me. My neighbor always tells me what I can or can’t do with MY apartment ( inside and outside) The list goes on. But i really need a 2 bedroom. Thank you Chartwell for everything my son and I appreciate it more than you know.”

Each time he started on my request I received a call from Gino telling me what he assessed and what he was going to do to fix the problem. “I’ve had a generally positive experience living here. The location is convenient and the overall layout and design of the units feel modern and well thought out. The space works especially well for a small family and the atmosphere is relatively quiet and comfortable.

Maintenance has been responsive when issues come up and that makes a big difference in day-to-day living. The common areas are usually kept clean and it feels like there’s some level of care put into the property.

That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. Communication from management isn’t always as clear or timely as it could be and there have been moments where follow-up was needed. Depending on your neighbors, noise can occasionally be an issue but that’s fairly typical for apartment living.

Overall, it’s a solid place to live. It’s not perfect but it offers a good balance of comfort, location and livability. I’d recommend it to someone looking for a practical and decent apartment option.”

“I've lived at Autumn Chase for a few months now and it's been great so far! Rent is a little high for the average studio, but with almost everything included it's a good deal! The property manager, Gabby, was pleasant to work with during the process of leasing (a huge relief as a first-time renter) and is always there if I have any issues. A few days after moving in, I discovered that my AC unit was not working. I put in a maintenance request and staff were there right away to replace the unit. I don't think you could find a better apartment complex than here!”
