Malabar Farm State Park, located in the picturesque Pleasant Valley of Richland County, is a diverse and historic destination. Established as the dream of Pulitzer Prize-winning author and conservationist Louis Bromfield, the farm today offers visitors a glimpse into sustainable agriculture and the region's glaciated Appalachian Plateau. Visitors can explore the well-maintained grounds, tour the iconic Big House, hike scenic nature trails, and drive to the top of Mt. Jeez for breathtaking views. The working farm is home to a variety of animals, and guests can browse and purchase Malabar farm products at the on-site gift shop. Tour and gift shop hours are seasonal, so visitors are encouraged to check the Ohio Department of Natural Resources website for updates. Reviewers describe Malabar Farm as a "wonderful," "quiet," and "low-key" destination, with something for everyone, from hiking and fishing to enjoying the farm animals and delicious maple syrup. Whether visiting with friends, family, or solo, Malabar Farm State Park promises a unique and memorable experience steeped in history and natural beauty.
Love it up here it was my dad's favorite place! We set him free on Mount Jeez! Then the song in the video played on the radio!

Wonderful afternoon spent hiking with a friend. We did the Butternut Trail loop and hiked to the cemetery. Such a beautiful place! Lots of farm animals to see, trails to hike, fishing in the lake, restrooms and gift shop! Lots of history here.
