I just moved to Cleveland and I needed a new mattress. I went to this store during the tax free week in Ohio and the first time I went I was upfront with the salesperson that I will not be buying a mattress today and I was really just browsing. He fully understood and gave me just a quick overview of the mattresses that I could select from, and tips on what to look for when choosing a mattress, and then he really just left me and my partner alone to try a bunch of the mattresses on our own. Sales wasn't pushy or trying to sell me a mattress on the same day which I really appreciated, and whenever we had a question about the mattresses he always gave straightforward answers that got to the point. I ended up coming back a few days later after trying out mattresses from other stores and the sales representative was very to the point, didn't feel like I was being sold any additional add-ons on top of my mattress purchase and I walked out of the store with getting what I wanted and nothing extra. I scheduled the mattress to be delivered about a week and a half later (even though they had a delivery date available much earlier), since I was waiting on a bed-frame from IKEA to be delivered first. Delivery staff was very straight forward and professional, and respectful towards the my house, they were able to setup the mattress on my bed-frame for me. All in all a very straight forward and comfortable sales experience from The Original Mattress Factory. I went with a Queen Orthopedic Extra Firm (I'm 6'3" and 200 lbs) and it provides great support for me as a side sleeper and it came at a great price as well for the quality of the mattress. The mattress feels like the mattress I tried out in the store and I've been having a good nights sleep since.

Good products, Bad customer service. I purchased a king size mattress and paid for delivery, including the additional charge for the mattress to be "set up" instead of just dropped at my front door. The delivery guys simply walked the mattress down the hall and leaned it against the wall with the plastic still on. I had to ask them specifically to unwrap the mattress and put it in a specific place. If I'm paying an extra $40 for "set up", I expect more than just walking it down the hall.A couple weeks later, I decided to order box springs and a bed frame to go with it, after deciding I didn't want a platform bed. I made the purchase over the phone, and when it was delivered, the bed frame wasn't included. I called the store and they told me the order never included a bed frame. The sales associate never added it to the order, even though they had to make an extra phone call to be sure the item was in stock. Since the sales associate didn't include the bed frame with the box spring order, their solution is for me to place a third order, and pay for delivery again. The person on the phone didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. Totally unacceptable. I'm buying a bed frame from somewhere else; absolutely no ownership of their mistake.

From the great customer service to the delivery I am very happy. I believe John and Cliff delivered the mattress , They were very polite and on time. I highly recommend Original Mattress Factory. High quality mattress and very comfortable

I generally don't leave negative reviews, typically they are petty and unworthy, authored by a unhappy person who likes creating misery. That is not the case here, I loved the original mattress factories products for years. When I bought my first home at 22 I got my first real mattress because I believe they're advertising. They swore up and down that they're not like gimmicky other stores and their products are superior because of the construction etc etc. They were okay, they lasted a very long time and I was pretty happy. 20 years later I've been through a few sets, all from the original mattress factory and then recently... During covid... I bought a king-sized mattress, box spring, trundle, and frame. More than $2,000 and I expected that I was buying the best they had to offer. First things first, if you don't like your bed they will switch it out but there's a catch, they charge you a percentage of the new mattress. In our case it was about $300 and I didn't really care so I felt, in for a penny in for a pound. The new mattress was 10 times worse. But that's not the reason for this review, the reason is because the mattress is garbage. I don't know if they're manufacturing is changed or what is different but I can tell you that in about 1 and 1/2 years the mattress sags in both places that people sleep. My wife and I are in shape, not more butly obese, not even considered obese, and yet the mattress has a substantial dip. I called them and I said you offer a 10-year guarantee (something like that) on your mattress. Can you tell me about it? They went into this dissertation which was very defensive. Basically saying that most issues are because the people somehow abused the bed? How in the hell do you abuse a bed/mattress? They told me that they would send someone out, and this is awesome, they're going to lay a level across the mattress to see how deep the indentation is. No joke, that's their warranty... More than $2,000 and they want to send a guy out because the only warranty they actually offer is on what they call manufacturing defects. I was more than happy to do that but that doesn't exactly solve our problem. All they're going to do is give us another crappy mattress that we're going to have the same issues with. I'll spare you the rest, we went over to the select comfort store in woodmere, I did not buy their top of the line bed... I bought their middle of the line bed. You know the air mattresses, they're unbelievable. Now I'm into bedding for about $7,000 but at least my back doesn't hurt in the morning and I will never do business with this awful company again. For all their advertising they're nothing but another mattress company with a massive margin to support all those strip center stores

Excellent service, excellent product, no frills cost, no pressure sales.A month later we extremely pleased with the quality and firmness level of the mattress. I purchased an original mattress 25 years ago then the next two times paid way too much for inferior products made in China with high sticker prices. Glad I finally came back to American made Cleveland made quality.

Very knowledgeable and willing to answer all of our questions. Fast service. Ordered Monday, they will make our mattress Tuesday and deliver on Wednesday. Very impressive. They've been around locally for many years with a great reputation. It's why we made a purchase.
