“5 below is the funnest place! This store has a lot of fun things, useful things, decor, tshirts, snacks, candy, beauty items and so much more. Great place to get gifts! They have a nice selection of seasonal merchandise and now with the 5 beyond section they have more items that are bigger and better and still reasonably priced. Definitely one of my favorite stores!”
“What a great little hidden place to shop for just about anything as their stock is constantly changing. I always get great deals here. I bought a gallon of spice here for $4. It would cost over $140 on the web. Enough said. Service is friendly and prices are low to reasonable. Some items may be slightly damaged due to shipping.”
“Nice store! But, the employees are in backroom hanging out and seem to have a problem when they have to help you because self checkout register isn't corpoating properly. And, to top it off want to get aggravated because stuffs on sale and have digital coupons and want to say it something different.”
“This is the brand new Big Lots store in the Magic City Plaza on Wooster Rd. in Barberton. This store is WAY better then the old one that was at the other end of the plaza, they have a much better selection of merchandise as well as much higher quality of merchandise, the prices are a little higher then the old location but was but you’ll see why as soon as you walk in. They definitely improved their clothing department, they have much more to choose from, while they still have the affordable lines as they always have but they also added some higher quantity lines as well. This store is now finally up to par with other department stores, they also improved their furniture selection as well as adding outdoors furniture. Definitely worthy of a visit, they will more then likely have what your looking for.”

“My only complaint I buy 3 boxes of the morning delight croissants a week there is at least one croissant in each box that has a whole on the plastic wrapping or they aren't sealed at all. Please fix this, they are my favorites.”

“I’ve never really had any major issues with this location, aside from one time when a software glitch charged me but wouldn’t let me take my groceries. Thankfully, I live nearby and was able to return once it was resolved. This all after going in about 4-5 times a week for the last 5 years.
A lot of the negative reviews seem to blame the employees for things that are really the responsibility of Dollar General as a company—like understaffing or the store’s condition, wrong prices all over the shelves. (Still something to keep an eye on with the current lawsuit going on with Ohio vs DG) They send these employees more product than the store can realistically handle, and there’s only so much space. Honestly, there are times I walk in and just feel bad for the staff. It’s clear they’re doing the best they can with the resources they’re given.
There was a former manager who wasn’t the friendliest (I always tried to be polite, but they just seemed fed up with the working conditions). That said, things seem to be heading in a better direction now. The store appears to be undergoing a remodel, and the current employees are friendly and doing a great job. It’s nice to see some positive changes happening.”
“These folks here go through employees like no ones business. Before I used to have terrible experiences here and now tbh, they have stocked shelves, and if not then they probably have a UBoat with it ready, they endlessly stock and take care of a lot of rude people who give them a hard time. Like seriously, some of the people in line really just get mad because there’s 1 person checking out 8 people, and the. They bring a second person but now there’s like 16 people so it doesn’t matter anyways ? since the beginning of Covid, many businesses have failed to keep up and this family dollar had done a pretty good job at surviving (so far) and the employees deserve more pay (so do the managers) and everyone deserves more respect. Mind you, these people are worked ragged.those that don’t work hard get weeded out quick . The ones that stay endure hell. I recommend this family dollar. Other than hardly having nighttime L/XL pull-ups, they keep up on pretty much everything.”
“I can't say enough good things about this particular DG store. It's clean, organized and well stocked every time I stop in. The ladies (staff) are incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to chat and offer assistance...this is almost unheard of nowadays. Kudos to the staff at the Lincoln Way/Apple Creek Dollar General! You're doing an awesome job, and I appreciate you!”
“I can find just about every household product or grocery i need here. The staff can always be seen and found if i have any questions and the stores are always kept stocked. Not like some big boxes stores?!”

“I love this location everyone is very helpful and friendly. I've never seen anyone smoking or being rude like other reviews said. I don't think people realize a lot of these people are doing the jobs of 2 people you have to ring register and put product up in between customers and if you constantly have customers you can't get product put up. That's why there is product down aisles sometimes. These employees are trying their best for real y'all need to lighten up.”

“Exceptional service. I was passing through town and got lost (live 3 hours away and unfamiliar with the area). The employee allowed me to use the restroom and gave me directions to where I needed to go. Very friendly and helpful.”
