Carl and his team catered our office Christmas party. It was a "smallish" event of 20 people. From making the initial inquiry, to orchestrating the details, to patiently and quickly answering my myriad of questions, they treated our event like it was the most important thing they had going. The day of the party, the man who delivered the food arrived exactly on time and set up was effortless. No detail was overlooked. Most importantly, the food was absolutely fabulous, including special meals Carl created for employees with dietary restrictions!!!! Everyone went back for seconds, always a good sign. “We celebrated our daughter and new son-in-law's wedding at The Club at Hillbrook this past weekend and are still basking in the glow. Hillbrook is the most gorgeous venue that we could ever have imagined with its Old World charm, terraces, rolling lawns and the impossibly beautiful teahouse garden where the marriage took place. We had cocktails on the lawn, dinner by candlelight on the terrace, and danced until midnight in the pavilion -- each area perfect in its own way. The wedding party spent the night in the suites upstairs -- and the bedrooms were also quite lovely. Gina Carlson was wonderful to work with. The staff was excellent -- and the food was delicious. Highest praise for Hillbrook!”

“I had my reception here for my wedding they provided the linens for the tables and chairs as well as the dishes and silverware for dinner . We used the small hall which was bigger than I thought it was really nice and newly renovated. As well as having a dance floor in the middle which was nice they communicated with us and did a great job of setting up . Also wanted to say they included in the services a dinner menu and tasting which was also nice the food was amazing we had so many people tell us it was better than other weddings . We also used the bridal suit which also was renovated and had plenty of space to get ready and a fridge and mirrors for getting ready and private bathroom . The services were awesome the people running it were very nice and respectful. I would highly recommend this place for a venue for your ceremony if need be or the reception it’s beautiful as well inside the long area too.”

“I had the opportunity to rent the Henn Mansion for a family brunch of approximately 40 people. Being a hour away & having a busy schedule that week, I was unable to see the space in person. Cherie, the Event Coordinator/Manager of the mansion, made the rental process seamless! I was sent photos of the space & was able to complete the contract & send it back by email! On the day of the brunch, I was amazed! The pictures had not done justice to this gorgeous place! So much character & warmth. Cherie's customer service was exceptional! Cherie made herself available for any questions or concerns that I may have had.The Henn Mansion also has a beautiful lake views! Perfect for an intimate wedding! But Michelle called my husband right back and said she realized she didn’t ask him the time. So we were able to book for our Vow renewal on our 12th year wedding anniversary. This was so special to me. We were allowed to use a cabin to get ready! Michelle keep checking on us and was attentive to our guests. “Rooms are fine except for the bathroom door. It's a sliding glass panel that is extremely noisy and doesn't close fully. This means I wake everyone up, and they hear everything I do in the bathroom. Please put real doors up, and we'll come back!”

“They were understaffed at the front desk. The front desk person was dealing with a phone call and the other person who tried to come help didn't have a computer that worked so I had to wait for 10 minutes while the front desk person changed credit cards on two reservations where a parent was obviously paying for their children's stay and wanted to lock down what the card on file could purchase.”
“This was my first time playing Tanglewood. The course has a driving range where you just pay at the machine, and the range balls were reasonably priced. Although I had a tough time scoring, I enjoyed the layout and challenges.
Here are some notable holes I loved:
Hole #2, Par 5: This is a neat hole. You tee off on a slight hill, looking straight towards the hole.
Hole #8: I enjoyed the elevated tee box here, where you’re greeted by Tanglewood Lake as you approach the green. It’s a beautiful sight for golfers (unless you’re in the lake).
Hole #9, Par 4: This hole has a dog-leg right and is unique because you have to be cautious with your tee shot.
Hole #10, Par 5: Another slightly elevated tee box greets you with a lake view, but it’s all driver from here, and the view is beautiful.
Hole #15: This hole has two water hazards on both sides of the fairway, with the right side guarding most of the hole's length from your second shot.
Hole #17: The standout hole. It features a massive drop from the tee box, and if you’re accurate with your drive, you can easily hit it over 300 yards. Just be careful with the small stream guarding the hole.
The tee box on hole 16 was slightly under construction due to a pipe being installed, which was a minor inconvenience.
The clubhouse and staff were top-notch and courteous. Although I thought their beverage prices were a little expensive, it's to be expected in Chagrin Falls. I felt the front nine was tighter than the back half, with more trees and skinnier fairways. The greens were slow that day due to the previous rain.
I played on a Saturday with sporadic rain, so we had most of the golf course to ourselves. Despite the challenges, I would definitely come back here again, as there were a couple of holes where I need to redeem myself. The weekend prices are a little over $60, which is expensive, but I believe it was worth every dollar. I would come back.”

“Room 133 could use some minor repairs. Otherwise clean comfortable and relatively quiet. Nice big breakfast available if you want it. The gym appeared to be well equipped and the pool/entertainment areas were neat and tidy.”
