I absolutely love living here. The only reason why my husband and I moved due to buying a house. Very pet friendly. Great apartment layout. If we had to ever live in a apartment again, this would be my first choice. This apartment holds many great memories for me. I would highly recommend!

The good: The pool is awesome. Now with that out of the way the front office staff can't do anything without contacting corporate, which noone knows who corporate is....Everything is a secret. Amenities for a "luxury" apartment complex are pretty lame outside of the pool. The fitness area is the size of a living room with this weird bowflex/nautilus thing, a bike, free weights up to 50 pounds, elliptical, and a treadmill that's it. Oh a giant TV on the mirror in that's actually kind of in the way. That is, apparently a fitness room in a "luxury" complex. We had to move out of our last place in a hurry, constant barking dog that was doing it's business on our patio, nothing was done about it, etc... if we didn't have to move in a hurry then Nicholas Place would have been the last place we ended up. The front office staff is the nicest people you will ever meet, until you move in then all of a sudden they can't answer any questions. Then when you get a hold of the property manager, you are directed to the front office...so they can contact corporate, what? It's 2017, Internet is a part of our daily lives. Gigamonster (I know what you're thinking...WHO?...EXACTLY) is the Internet "service" provider there, and it's the only one, and it is the smelliest piece of garbage on Earth. Believe it or not, the customer service is actually worse than the internet service, to this day I have no idea why or how that's possible. And for TV, Directv is your only option, and that stuff is also terrible, it's contract for 24 months, and after 12 months your prices go UP. We decided to cut the chord and go with Sling TV which is a great service, but WHEN your internet goes down every week or two, it's useless. It is ridiculous. When you force residents to have to use a certain ISP, then the management needs to take some responsibility and fight FOR THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS WHO ARE THE RESIDENTS, when there are this many issues, something needs to change. Gigamonster has actually gotten worse, and if you remotely need Internet access, stay away from this place.I'm sorry to say these things, the apartments are nice, although I've never seen a "luxury" apartment without a garbage disposal. Also, if you have kids, take them to a local park instead, the playground is pathetic, the basketball court is also pathetic and was done just in time for winter :). It's one thing after another here, nobody takes responsibility, it takes a long time to hear back from anyone, and you're lucky if you do and when you do hear from them they are mad at you because you got mad waiting so long. After we moved in, one of the toilets wouldn't flush, had a piece of piping stuck in it from construction, their reaction "Well we didn't foresee these issues" well, that literally doesn't matter considering it was happening, and that's still the excuse "We didn't foresee it....." just because it's new, doesn't mean there won't be issues and Ill argue we've had more issues with this place than anywhere else and we have lived in some weird places.Oh and if you have a noisy neighbor (the occasional loud noise, heavy footsteps stuff like that can't be controlled I get that) BUT if you have a neighbor that every time they're home it sounds like a herd of wildebeasts are galloping through the prairie, and it's just loud noise, and bang, and music, and people yelling loud as all get out and you call the front office, after you are laughed at and they ask "Have you ever lived in an apartment before?" Their solution? "We have lovely floor plans on the third (top) floor you can move to" THAT WAS THE SOLUTION! New doesn't always mean "not broken" and new doesn't always mean "better" or even "good" avoid Gigamonster like the plague, because it is the plague. It is the most pathetic ISP on Earth, and in all fairness, I would give 3 star

If I could give it a zero I would. AC dehumidifier did work. Humidity at 70 percent. Industry standards is no more than 50 percent. Portable dehumidifier took 6.25 gallons of water out in 24 hours. Ran continuously for weeks taking 2.5 gallons out a day only bringing the huidity level down to 50. With AC off, humidity back up to 56 percent. They pressure washed the building causing my laundry room and foyer to leak. Their response, "that happens every time we pressure wash the building." Gee, why don't they fix it. I asked if this could cause a mold problem. They said no. Their response to the humidity issue was to terminate my lease. They won't move me into a different unit. The "apartments are professionally cleaned when vacated." Then why did they not discover the mold growing in the dishwasher. Lease is written in such a way that they can terminate it without cause. Unit across the hall screened in patio was infested with flys and maggots. The residents were blamed continually. it took a dozen phone calls for maintenance to figure out that the people above were putting their garbage out on the deck creating a perfect spot for flys and maggots to drop down into the unit below. There are more i could list but why bother. Save yourself some frustration and stay away from Nicholas Place apartments in Middletown, Ohio.

My wife and I have been here for two years, about to renew for our 3rd, and love it. I'll update when we move out if there are any issues but I really don't have many complaints. The grounds and pool are always clean and well maintained, it's relatively quiet for an apartment, any issues are swiftly addressed. They did have some no-name internet provider whose support team was in India and could never help beyond directing you to restart the router but have since brought in Spectrum. Even then we only ever had a couple issues with the old provider but when you did it took a couple days to get a technician out.The apartment was nice when we moved in. 3rd floor is a hike but the ceilings make the place feel so much more spacious. Love the included accent wall. There were some dusty vents and holes leftover from the previous tenant hanging something but nothing major. When our water heater went they had someone in to repair it the next day. When that didn't solve the problem it was replaced the day after. When we had wasp nests outside the stairs it was taken care of by the time we got back home 15 minutes later.Rent is competitive, although of course I wish it was cheaper, and they haven't tried to cheat us on renewals like previous places have. Rent increases both times have been slightly below the new move in rate.I wish we had a larger single compartment sink with a disposal instead of the dinky two compartment sink that makes cleaning large items difficult but that's nitpicking. My biggest gripe is their pet policy. A $500 non-refundable deposit on top of pet rent is a little ridiculous. The pet rent is fairly standard, if ridiculous because why do you need pet rent if the deposits are there to cover damages, but the deposit itself is higher than anywhere else we've lived before - and those were refundable.

I really enjoyed my visit here. Kira was so kind and very professional. She made me feel welcome on the premises and might even convince me to live here when I move. There are so many amenities on site so you can never get bored living here.

Management is very unreliable with a horrible attitude. I would never consider these apartments not only the conversation i heard with my own ears but also after seeing similar reviews. Stay clear unless you have absolutely no other option in life.

Kira is by far the most unprofessional person I’ve heard in a long time. I would encourage EVERYONE to avoid this place AT ALL COSTS. Thieves.

This place will try and steal your deposit without question. I have over 65 pictures time stamped before of moving out. That I won't post here due to my attorney. This place was left spotless. Never missed a rent payment, sometimes even paid early. It is an Ohio law to relay carpet every 3 years in an apartment and what they do is try to tack that onto a tenant. Will be heading to small claims nice try though.

The apartments are reasonable, the management is completely unresponsive and uncooperative. They are dramatically de-valuing the property and NPA, LLC should be taking note of this. Happy to discuss with an owner if they would like.

I have been living here for the last 8 months and I like it here. The apartments have a lot of space and are nice. It is a dog-friendly complex. So, if you don't want to see or hear dogs, you might not want to live here. But it you do like dogs, you will enjoy this place. I meet a lot of people out with their dogs. Almost everyone is friendly. The dog park is roomy enough to play ball with my dog. The office and maintenance staff are very nice and helpful. I love that we are close to shopping and restaurants as well as I75. The only negative I have to point out is that you can hear everything from the apartment above. Evidently, there is no soundproofing between floors. Overall, I highly recommend Nicholas Place Apartments.

This place will steal your deposit. Lived here for 2 years never missed or was late on a rent payment. Moved out and cleaned the entire apartment before leaving according to their checklist. It was cleaner when we left then when we moved in. Got a bill in the mail. No deposit back and a charge for carpet replacement. Take pics before you move out of here. Whoever they have clean their carpets will bleach your carpet and then send you a bill for carpet replacement. Take pics of everything they are thieves. Prior to moving out the leasing lady recommended the $75 carpet cleaning through them instead of paying more for outside professionals. Turns out it’s their scheme to rob you. Only getting 1 star because they won’t allow 0. No shocker why their rating reviews are horrendous on every site.

The walls are thin so you will hear everything your neighbors are up to. The office managers have 0 idea of what to do in any situation, they have to call the company office or email them and then will get back to you. You won't ever be able to call the company office to file a complaint or ask questions because they refuse to give you that information. Our apartment smelled like cigarette smoke and had mold in the bathrooms. Despite numerous maintenence requests and complaints, nothing was ever done to fix it. There is not enough parking spaces for each apartment building. Finally, we had a representative present for our final walkthrough and were given a good review. Then when it came time to receive our deposit check back they decided to keep it and charge us for maintenence that had to be completed due to the company's error. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone.

I really wish I can put the review at zero because almost a year now my family and I been dealing with a problem about the non-stop dog crying and barking we have reported to the management multiple times they don't know what to do to fix the situation is disturbing the peace it's hard to sleep cuz we'll hear it all the time I'll be on the phone with friends and they would also complain about it too I don't know how many times we have reported it and they have not done nothing about it and even worse the walls are really thin too that's all I have to say
