“Love this place, have purchased many boots and shoes here, we always stop here when visiting Amish country. I purchased a pair of Red Wing boots a couple of months ago and on the third time wearing them one of the hooks for the laces came right out. Very disappointing for Red Wing, I expected better from this brand, however I took them to Mt. Hope and they quickly and graciously repaired them free of charge. Great people, great service. Would highly recommend this establishment.”

“This is the first time I noticed this business. It's right across the way from Mrs. Yoder's Restaurant. We decided to walk inside and check the place out. To the right there is a sign that says clearance. Hmmm... say no more. We walked down the stairs to the basement. Now that I think of it, too many Halloween movies on my mind. Do they have to have a sign that states "Clearance" and I just run down the stairs. . Ok back to my review. In the middle they have rows and rows of clearance merchandise. Boots, shoes, work wear for men, women and children. After awhile someone came downstairs and asked if we needed help. I'm so happy I said yes. I had tried on a pair of shoes that felt comfortable. Regular price was $149 and it stated 20 percent off. Not enough for me to make a purchase. Especially with no returns on clearance items. So I showed it to him and he said oh that pair I must have missed when I was marking it down. So he marked it down to $69. I also chose another pair in $62. I've been looking high and low for comfortable business work shoes that didn't look like grandmas fashion. The shoe brand is SAS Made in the USA!! I read about the shoe company and like their story. My husband also found a clearance men's shoe. I can't wait to see if this will be a brand I continue to purchase. I also found kids boots Made in the USA -40 degrees. I didn't want to make additional purchases until I researched to make sure that I am really getting a deal. Upstairs there are so many different brands of shoes and boots. Birkenstock, Red Wing, Justin, Sketchers, Danner and SAS. I loved the other items for women as well. We are so happy that we definitely did very well in our choices. We bought three pairs of shoes that would have been the price of one almost. I did go home and looked up the prices of the shoes. They're still full price on many websites and still in fashion. Great shop!! Knowledge, very helpful young man there. It's a place I will always go visit when I'm in the area.”
