“This hotel is a hidden gem! The room was clean, the temperature and the water pressure in the shower were perfect, and the bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed we've ever slept in. The pillows weren't very firm or fluffy, though, so you might want to bring one of your own. The air conditioner worked well too. Tip: it's an energy saver, so your best bet would be to set the temperature a few degrees cooler than usual in case the fan shuts off during the night. And the staff was very welcoming. We'll be back again soon.”

“Highly recommend staying here! I spend a lot of time in hotels due to near constant travel for work and have stayed at many Sonesta properties (they can be hit or miss). I was pleasantly surprised by this location across the board. Exceptional and friendly staff, well-cleaned rooms with comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, lots of storage space, and the kitchenette & large desk was a bonus! I only wish I could’ve stayed and enjoyed it for longer. Do not let the hallways fool you, as the rooms seem to be updated at some point in the past several years and are in really good condition. It was also very quiet and there are plenty of food and stores nearby.”

“I am a little late on my review! I’ve been gone for about 3 weeks now, and have been meaning to post. I stayed here for approximately 65 days for work. Not only was coming to Ohio in general a great experience, but the hospitality I received at this establishment definitely did not go unnoticed. I’m not good with everyone’s names, but I do remember Kim. She works overnights a lot, and I worked late! So we became the best of buds lol. The gentleman with the really good style that can dress, I don’t know his name but he will know I’m talking about him bc I told him he had great style! The sweet girl with the red hair and always wore cute outfits. Ugh all of them were amazing at the front desk. The sweet lady that checked me out even signed me up for the rewards program which I didn’t know about. I even had a few encounters with the housekeeping that were very pleasant. They kept the rooms very clean, towels stocked, & sheets changed. All in all, this was essentially my home for 8+ weeks. I could walk to work, & tbh I didn’t want to leave Crocker/Westlake. Ohio has definitely left a special place in my heart forever and you guys played a part in that. I’m from St. Louis, but will be back. When I do, I know exactly where I’m staying. Thank you ALL for your hospitality. I appreciated you all from the bottom of my heart. Looking forward to a stay in the future and hopefully I’ll see you all again.”

“We stayed at the hotel on our wedding weekend. We also reserved block rooms for our guests and the hotel itself was wonderful. Our room was very clean upon arriving and the employees were so sweet that helped us check in and purchase snacks at the front desk. We also took advantage of the shuttles they have available. Our driver was very sweet, and everyone was able to take the shuttles from our wedding location back to the hotel safely. If you are in need of a location near this hotel for a wedding I highly suggest working with them and Taylor Pellegrini who took such good care of us when we were setting everything up with the hotel.”

“I've stayed at this Aloft multiple times; it's our go-to spot when driving through town. Located conveniently off the highway and near a mall, so there are a lot of amenities. Dog friendly; and they even have their own Aloft dog treats for your 4 legged friends! Clean, nice workersNearby activities: Bike trail; mall”

“A really decent hotel experience! Rooms are comfortable, clean, and well appointed. They had a pool and hot tub, pretty good (free) breakfast setup, and the area was quiet considering its proximity to a highway and hospital. “- Customer service on the phone while trying to book my room was very disrespectful! I asked to speak to a manager and he proceeded to tell me that he was the assistant manager, and he canceled my reservation for this coming Saturday however I wanted this hotel for my daughter to swim who is turning 8 on Sunday. She loves to swim and they have the best pool via the pictures.!!!Noteworthy details: My daughter loves water but she’s a winter baby so I wanted this hotel for her to swim with her siblings”

“Stopped at an early time in the morning (just after midnight). Front desk was helpful. Breakfast was great. Hotel was clean. Only reason for a 4 star was I mentioned being a member and nothing was applied and the bathroom was tiny. This, however wouldn't stop me from staying again. Great hotel and convenient location.”

“we had an amazing time! amazing staff! I would like to recommend the rules about pets be explained at booking. We were never told that you cant leave pet in the kennel to go get dinner. The most important thing is the luggage carts need 2 wheels on the front. The buggy tilts when your luggage is on it and if you hit a bump it dumps all your luggage on the ground. This happened several times.Noteworthy details: The staff is the best! Absolutely amazing crew! The lady putting out breakfast is an absolute sweetheart!”

“Had a very nice visit to see family in Lorain and spent a night here. Very comfortable room and good dinner from downstairs. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room faced Broadway and W Erie and had traffic noise early in the evening. If that bothers you, I'd recommend requesting a room on the back/River side. Will definitely stay here again!”

“My family and I fell on hard times and they welcomed us with open arms. Until i was able to get back on my feet. The staff was always kind and very helpful. Mrs. Barb on 3rd shift was always so kind helpful and even adopted us as her own. She also help me look for housing locally. They have an indoor pool welcome pets and go over and beyond to please there guest. I work across the street at Denny's for 24 yrs. So Red Roof and Denny's go hand and hand. We go over and beyond to make sure our customers are satisfied.”

“My daughter paid for the room in cash when she checked in on 2/17, and also paid a deposit of US$60 in cash. She was completely unaware of this when she made the reservation. I only found out about it after reading the comments section. When checking out on 2/18, the front desk staff said that the deposit would be returned to the credit card, which meant there was a problem with the handover by the front desk staff. I wrote to ask about this on February 19, but there has been no response for 5 days now, and my 60 US dollars have been eaten up.2/27 Update: The hotel is actively processing refunds and will update the review after confirmation.Update 3/04: Credit card refund completed3/16 Update: Check received for $60 deposit bouncedThank you to the hotel for proactively solving my problem.”
