We hired Ken and his team to transform a living room and dining room into a new master suite to accommodate my mother's needs as a new amputee. From the initial contact, Ken understood the sense of urgency to the projected as we worked to get my mom out of rehab and home. They quickly developed plans and began demo. Ken personally guided us through the selection process and explained all of the accessible features he would include to support any and all equipment that would be required for my mom's future needs.Unfortunately, shortly into the project, my mom passed away and the project quickly turned to returning the space to the original design and finishes. Ken continued to push with the project, knowing that getting the space back to normal was an important part of our family's needs. The final product is exactly what we needed.Ken and team's dedication, professionalism and craftsmanship are excellent. Being in the remodeling business myself, I understand and recognize how difficult and emotional remodeling can be. Artistic Renovations exceeded all expectations, especially given the incredibly difficult circumstances. Our experience with Artist Renovations was excellent and I recommend Ken and team.

I would give a 0 if I could. Ken & wife Susan are thieves. Once you sign a contract it is over for you. After 1 year, my kitchen was not completed. Other projects of his were completed out of my garage...While nothing ever happened in my kitchen!!! Ken was never available except when he needed money. He marked up some goods × 500%. I had to scrape tile off a wall after work with a pancake turner b/c he gave the wrong tile to his crew, on purpose, to install. He's a major CREEP!!! In fact, every time we needed him, he was in Vegas!! Hmm, gambling your money ?! Total disaster. Thank g-d my husband was an atty. & finally threw him out!!

We hired Ken and his crew June of 2019 for a kitchen, bath and Mudroom remodel. We have finally wrapped up everything (through letters b/w our attorneys) and all I can say is I would never recommend Artistic Renovation to anyone for anything! At first everything was wonderful, Ken said everything could be done w/ in budget. I was specific with pictures and actual products that I had envisioned. Of course things arise and adjustments have to be made, but we were never prepared for how we were treated and the money gouging they tried to pull off at the end. After talking to several of AR's previous customers I found out we were not alone! They too had experienced wrong products (that were payed for in full ahead of time) showing up to be installed (wrong custom tub, wrong tile for complete bath remodeled [where Ken went ahead and installed anyways, but customer had him rip it out] wrong ceiling, wrong windows, it goes on and on) and a significant price increase at the end. One neighbor told me how they threatened to put a lien on their home to cover the price increase. This happened with our Wolf; double, duel fuel oven range and hood. The hood wasn't even a Wolf, but a much lower end brand (Zline). Ken's explanation was he was trying to save us money. The oven that showed up was actually a floor model (we found out from sales rep) w/ the wrong configuration. My husband and I began not to trust Ken and made sure every serial/ model number was checked upon arrival to our home. Once again Ken tried talking us into keeping the oven and told us it could be reconfigured to our original order. All which was not true according to Wolf manufacture of rep we spoke to. Two of my neighbors in Lakewood ended up firing Artistic Renovation in the middle of their projects and cut all ties with them. This was all going on during our two year remodel. These costumers all had the same experience of Ken not returning texts, calls or even emails.I will say Matt was excellent (he no longer works for them and his own business now) and did all of the finishing work, which is beautiful. Lynn and Bobby who do the painting were wonderful as well. Overall, our experience of the lack of trust, communication, respect and reliability was completely absent from this company and not worth the last two years of frustration. Do your research and there are plenty of reputable contractors out there to choose from and we would not recommend Artistic Renovation. Talk to previous costumers personally before ever hiring a contractor. Make sure they don't outsource work to 3rd parties and get it in writing. I have learned a lot through this whole process about how business is done and about people in general.

I called Ken at Artistic Renovations when my upstairs bathroom flooded causing major damage to my kitchen below. He and his team responded quickly and helped me through the initial flood and clean up. Ken was very helpful, he provided advice and assisted me in dealing with the insurance company (when you are a new homeowner and something like this happens, you have no idea what you are doing and you need someone you can trust to help you through the process...Ken was a lifesaver). I had only lived in my home for few months when this happened and had plans of remodeling my kichen in the next couple of years. The flood ended up being a happy accident that lead to my beautiful new kitchen.Ken was awesome to work with, he listened and delievered a kitchen even better than I had envisioned... my home at the time was close to 100 years old and I did not want to change the footprint I just wanted to design a kichen I would love to be in. Ken and I worked through the design phase quickly (Ken truly listen to what I wanted and made the process super easy for me). Once I signed off on the design he and his team got to work.Remodeling your home can be stressful and having people in and out of your house for any period of time can be overwhelming. His team was so respectful, professional and friendly. It definitely made the process alot easier. My project was finished in the time frame quoted, he and this team went above and beyond and the end result was a kitchen more beautiful than I ever envision when I first walk through my house and thought I love this house but this kitchen has got to go! Now I walk in to my kitchen and smile it is my favorite room in the house!I would highly recommend Ken and the team at Artistic Renovations, they will not disappoint!Service: Remodeling

Caution! If you know what you want for your project do not pick this company! They do not care what you want. The owner does not communicate with his staff and has no idea what a budget is. He only appears when he wants money. Get everything in writing! He is impossible to get in touch with. His workers will use your house as a staging area for other projects. His employees have sticky fingers. He refuses to finish a project. A total nightmare!

We called Artistic Renovations several years ago after our garage caught fire and they made the process of dealing with the insurance company to rebuilding seamless. Very professional. So when it was time to remodel my kitchen and update my 1930 colonial, there was no question of who I was going to call. Being a new widow, I didn't know what to expect. They helped me with everything and stayed true to their quote. They even took care of my dog everyday they were there.Services: Install flooring

We hired Artistic Renovations of Ohio to do some work in the back of our house. We needed to have a rotting retaining wall taken down and replaced. Ken replaced it with a gabion wall which is best for support and drainage. We also had him build a deck coming off our family room picture window. He replaced the window with a 3 pane window so we could see better. The deck is used of composite material and has glass banisters which give you an open feel when sitting down. The deck steps down to a composite concrete pad where we have placed a table and chairs. Stepping down further Ken created another composite concrete pad with a built in fire pit. The final part of the project was a stone stairway that leads down the right side of the house to the back. This was a particularly difficult part of the project due to access and the handling of the stones and getting them into just the right position. Throughout the project Ken kept us informed of progress and if anything need to be handle, he took care of it. Ken's experience shown through as he was quickly able to make decisions and keep the project moving forward. It was an enjoyment working with Ken and Sue and would definitely hire the again if we have more remodeling work to be done.

We had Artistic Renovations remodel part of our kitchen about 6 years ago. When we were ready to complete the renovation and replace our entire first floor flooring, we had no question as to who we would call. Ken made this an easy project as I have a difficult time making selections. Our cabinets are beautiful and our granite and backsplash are amazing. He also picked the perfect color floor that we absolutely love. Matt and Doug did an amazing job through the whole process and everyone can’t believe how different our kitchen looks. I would hire Artistic Renovations for ANY job I need that they are able to performServices: Tile work installation

We have hired Artistic Renovations over the years for various projects in our home, in fact they built our home over 20 years ago. We knew we wanted an open floor plan for our new kitchen but we were not sure how to accomplish this because of the load bearing walls that would need to be removed.Ken designed the kitchen with the structural changes needed and we love the outcome. Now it is such a joy to entertain in our new kitchen. The guys were all great Matt, Doug, Eric, Bobby; they kept the area clean and were very helpful and respectful in accommodating anything we wanted to change.Ken helped us through the selection process and we love the new look.We highly recommend them for any size project .Their team will capture your vision and made it a reality.Service: Remodeling

Our family started the exhausting search of trying to find a reliable home remodeling company. We came across artistic renovations and called Ken for a quote on a full kitchen remodel, new flooring, and a master bath renovation. At first he was kind and we had a zoom meeting which went well. Ken then quoted us what seemed to be an absurd amount of money for the entire project (15 dollars per sq/ft of flooring installed). We set up a consult at the property because we wanted to get his opinion and a better price break down but Ken was a no call no show! When we decided an hour later to call and see where he was the phone went straight to voicemail so we called his wife and she said he was currently at another location and wouldn't be able to get there for a while! We informed them that we don't want to do business with a company like that and I'm writing this review so people can stear clear and find a more reliable and friendly company to deal with.
