Walmart Bakery is a typical Walmart, serving as a go-to grocery store for many. The store is generally stocked and employees can be attentive, with specific cashiers noted for being exceptionally polite, friendly, and helpful, providing excellent customer service by greeting shoppers and assisting with bags. These individuals are seen as a positive throwback and true people persons. However, other staff are frequently described as unfriendly, with poor attitudes, and appearing more concerned with pickup orders than in-person shoppers. Inventory has been sparse, with many items continuously out of stock. The store layout changes and the dedicated pickup parking spots are noted as a pain, making parking difficult. Experiences with self-checkout and receipt checks at the exit are viewed negatively, feeling like harassment. While the business is trucker friendly, there is a sentiment that small businesses need to return to American towns.
