“My moving men Jason and Randy did a great job with helping me move. They had great communication with me through out the move and asked me where to put things once we arrived at my home. Basically they were on the go, go, go from start to finish.”
“The staff was very friendly and they make sure the go over all costs and contract requirements. The also make sure, you are comfortable with the entire process and that you have their daily hours and the ability to have the pass code to enter the facility during their available hours. The manager Josh was very helpful and answered all questions and concerns. The facility was clean. I asked about if they have experienced any flooding and Josh said he has been therexI believe 15 or more years, and nothing has happened.”

“Great assistance from the staff there. Chris was extremely helpful. You don't think of customer service being much a determining factor when booking storage, but Extra Space in Westlake makes it a distinguishing feature of their product and I would pick them again just for the level of service and attention. The space itself was extremely convenient with easy pass through entrances and exits as well as covered loading and unloading for many of their units.”

“Office staff is AWESOME! Price is fair. The lighting inside the building tho is TERRIBLE in my unit it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to see especially th 2/3 of it that isn't in front of the door I always have to bring a flashlight and there's no way to plug in a light to make it easier. Is prefer at least 1 overhead bulb in a sideways 10x30 unit.”

I cannot recommend Storage Sense in Cleveland enough. From start to finish, the professionalism, compassion, and efficiency of the team—especially Peter and Dora—made an incredibly challenging time in my life feel manageable.
As a recent victim of domestic violence, securing a safe storage space was a critical step toward rebuilding my life. Dora and Peter handled the leasing process with both expertise and kindness, patiently guiding me through options to ensure I selected the perfect unit for my needs. They answered every question thoughtfully and provided clear, organized information, making a stressful decision feel straightforward.
What truly set this experience apart was the genuine care shown by both staff members. During one particularly emotional moment, Peter stepped out from behind the counter, offering heartfelt reassurance that “everything will be okay” and reminding me of my own strength. He consoled me, as I cried; it was just what I needed at that moment. Dora, too, lifted my spirits with her warmth and optimism, ensuring I never felt alone in the process. For our household move (crew of 5, 2 medium-sized trucks) they were incredibly fast (all furniture from 8 rooms and much packing of kitchen goods and clothing - done in 4 hours, from the time they arrived until they drove off (admittedly the two houses are less than 5 miles apart, but still!), very experienced (not one ding, crack, or bump), skilled (even moved an incredibly awkward and incredibly heavy outdoor sculpture), good natured (always willing to answer a question, never a gruff remark), and a very fair price to boot. We will recommend them to anyone and everyone... far FAR above our expectations!”

“This is by far the best storage unit in downtown Cleveland, if not all of Cleveland, & it is in large because of the manager Julia. The facility is immaculate; the cleanest one I have ever seen. Julia does a lot of the cleaning herself if not all of it. The bathroom is even clean! I am a disabled female & can access & use their bathroom without any issue & that’s saying a lot. I am also able to access our units (we have three!) without any issue. My husband & I needed a storage unit quickly, had a horrible experience at a highly rated nearby unit: the unit was dirty, unswept, the floors uneven (trip hazard) & a support beam 1/3 way into the unit blocking storage access & decreasing space as well as having horrible customer service from the local management to the corporate customer service and management. All these issues were resolved when we found Breakwater. Julia personally helped us choose the unit with the best location for us (& me being in a wheelchair) to access & helped ensure it was spotless before we moved in. We were so pleased we rented two more units there with the same great service. Julia even helped us choose the right size units to rent which were correct & not even close to what the professional moving company said we needed. Julia is always there to help or answer the phone & if not, she returns all phone calls almost immediately. We are more than satisfied with Breakwater but particularly with Julia who keeps the place running so smoothly. She is friendly, knowledgeable, happy to help & overall just goes above & beyond with the customer service. We called & researched many storage units before finding Breakwater; our only regret is that we did not find them sooner. I never write reviews but I thought I should share the info about this place with anyone else needing storage, especially last minute like us. I highly recommend Breakwater Storage.”
