“I’m so glad I found this place on the map! I was on the far side of the lake looking for something to eat and wasn’t sure where to stop. Since it wasn’t listed as a restaurant, I could have easily overlooked it. Luckily, I noticed they had subs and decided to give them a try. I’m sure glad I did! Everyone at the store was nice and helpful, which made the stop even better. It’s always a pleasure to walk into a place and be greeted by friendly people. The Spicy Sub was GREAT! I might even go as far as saying it’s the best around. It certainly hit the spot, and the size was impressive. These subs are huge! Mine was neatly cut and nicely wrapped, making it easy to handle and enjoy. I picked up a bag of chips to go with it, and just like that, I had the perfect lunch. What started as a search for something to eat turned into a place I’ll remember the next time I’m in the area. If you’re near the lake and looking for a good sub, this place is worth a stop. Don’t let the map listing fool you—there’s a great lunch waiting inside!”

“my wife stopped by the 821 carryout after I had wrote a review on one of their employees. the same employee went out of her way and waited on one of us to stop at the carryout or drive through the window i believe on her day off to tell my wife that we are now black balled from their store, we are not allowed to shop their anymore because I wrote a bad review on the employee. the review had nothing to do with the store only one of the employees. The store is great and all but one of the staff employees is super wonderful. All but one employee treats the customers with the up most respect and i would recommend that anyone to stop and shop their but if the salt n pepper older disrespectful lady is their then stop another time for no one deserves her rudeness. like i stated in my review the lady asked for our debit card number on two different occasions and under Ohio Law ORC 113.40 and 301.28 It is clear that no merchant in Ohio can ask for any consumers Debit Bank Card Pin Number , all merchants must follow all of the Ohio Consumer Laws. The Older salt and pepper haired employee Does not follow the law as a merchant or merchants employee. if you want to shop their then do not give them a bad review.”

Store has been revamped and all food equipment needed to run the store has been replaced since the new owners took over around a year ago. Thumbs up to the new owners for preserving and restoring this local landmark and continuing the hometown goodness. My family has been shopping here for years. Way back when it was Sim's Market.”

“If you ever need gas, this is the place to fill up! Even if you run out of gas and you’re close to another gas station like Speedway, get out and push your car to this Marathon station. Freddie, the sweet female attendant, goes out of her way to make you and your road trip buddies feel welcome. My wife used the restroom and noted the cleanliness of it. Also, while I was filling up the gas tank, she walked out and gave our pup some dog treats for the road trip. Our heart is at this Marathon gas station in Ohio. Thank you Freddie!”

“Easter Sunday 2026- it always sucks to work on holidays, especially when you have young kids, but the man working the afternoon shift (brown hair,ponytail) is amazing! He is always so helpful & fast, even when it’s busy he keeps his cool & stays organized & gets all of his customers taken care of. If you can’t find something, he always double checks. He is a rockstar at customer service! Though, I do hope next year it’s someone whose children are grown/doesn’t have little kids waiting at home working until 11pm on Easter. ♥️”
