Definitely connect with them to identify services and programs to support you and your family in cancer battle. The free in person Cancer Fighting Kitchen cooking classes are amazing opportunities to learn new recipes to support your self and your family in recovery or as working for prevention. There are so many ways they stand beside families in their cancer journey for which our family is incredibly grateful.”

“This place is within Gunning Park, which was named for my Grandfather Thomas J. Gunning, he was a long time Councilman in Cleveland and served a term as President of Council. He was also a Lawyer and had a practice on Lorain Avenue for over 3o years. this place is well maintained and the staff is excellent. Special thanks to Marie Russell, who showed us around and had taken it upon herself to learn quite a bit about my GrandFather. thanks Marie and staff.”
“Nice spacious facility a lot of amenities between gambling the small bowling table indoor and outdoor areas to seat and they have a kitchen most times serving lunch or dinner which is nice. Good use of plexiglass around the bar area to provide separation between the patrons.”

“The water park is great for kids. It's like a fancy splash pad with a water slide. The water is only 2 feet deep (maybe 3 at the deepest point). My son is 11 and enjoyed playing football in the water with a bunch of other boys. Everyone was really friendly. The lifeguards were super nice and helpful as well. Our city doesn't have a pool, so this was a nice treat for us. The snack bar is basic but kept us sustained for a few hours. Very reasonably priced.”

“Happy tears as I write this because my son recently had strep throat and what I can say is they are so patient with you here. Bringing food to the door as we were going through this tough time. Got my kids in school brick and mortar literally the week we got here. I was a stressed out homeschool parent of 5 consecutive years. The relief they gave me of being able to focus on myself, in hopes of gaining financial stability means everything. My son is getting better and we really appreciate the staff here. Any misunderstandings were always resolved. I'm also thankful for the food because it's not bad at all. Everyone works together to make Laura's Home a safe refuge. Staff is super understanding and has been helping me get my life back. Honestly, best program I've ever been part of and I'm keeping faith that I will be successful in the program. There was nowhere to go where I wouldn't have been taken advantage of. My family supported the abuser and played both sides. The breath of fresh air has been amazing here and there is no looking back. Thank you Laura's Home. Thank you.”
“Recovery resources are a great place for people triumphing over mental health and chemical dependancy with extravagant employees. That go over and above beyond standards with there clients needs I very been with the center 15 yrs and there services for mental illness and addictions are awsome”
“I was at this place when it was called berea childrens home in berea ohio from 1999 to 2001 it wasn't easy but I know it could have been worse , I got to do alot of things ropes course, Cleveland Indians games , mallys chocolate factory, I was hard head kid but Mr Johnson helped me in bf cottage Mrs Jennifer Yates in lang and Mrs India Ashley , all I can say is now that I'm 33 looking back I realize they were trying to help me , I learned a lot , I can't speak on how it is now I just know how it was then bf was phase 1 and lang was phase 2 then there ml and crossman for older boys Walker was the girls rtc was lockdown and step was I believe special needs i may be wrong”

“Let me just make this clear for everyone. There is a vet there, the vet works part time. There is also vet techs that work there as well. The dogs that come in are from transfers, mainly from high kill shelters in Tennessee , Georgia etc. The puppies are all vaccinated and fed great quality food. ( Purina Pro Plan ) Kennel cough is common in animal shelters. Educate yourself about that because that is factual. The staff go above and beyond for the animals. The kennels are cleaned non stop. The dog food is not slop at all it’s very high quality food. The dogs / puppies / cats / kittens are spoiled and treated with love and care ? also the dog with the heart worm came to the shelter with heart worm. She has been treated for heart worm. Also the parvo survivor pups came to the shelter with parvo and the staff saved their lives. Look up parvo and educate yourself. The shelter is very clean and the puppies that had parvo came to the shelter with it already and the staff saved there life !!”

“I had a great experience with this organization. Although it did take a few tries to get on their schedule, it was worth the wait. The crew came and moved a queen mattress, 2 chairs and bedding out of the house in a matter of minutes and were very friendly. I’d choose this over dumping items at Goodwill any day.”

“I’ve been to countless Goodwill’s all over the Ohio area. The employees never seem to be in a good mood/ too friendly. However, I decided to drive a little bit out to visit this store today. Denise was at the register. I noticed how friendly and in great spirits she was. She talked to every customer that was in line ahead of me. When it was my turn, she had the same energy. She was so so so so sweet and personable. Denise, I hope you know that your kindness in the world we live in today, is so important and so refreshing!”
