“Best experience, for me and my dog Diogi who didn't know it at that time. He had long nails and needed a rabies shot. The vet had to muzzle him ever so gently cause he nipped at her,the vet tech and I had to hold him down , he's a very spoiled dogger but won't let me touch his nails to save his life, she cut them down so wonderfully he's so happy now. I have used this vet for over 10 yrs. I appreciate everyone there”

“We recently had to say goodbye to our dog of 11 years, Archie. We had never been to this vet with him before. They gave us our time and space to make the difficult decision to end our dogs pain and suffering. The cost was not too bad and we had options we could choose from. The process was peaceful and good for our buddy. A gew days latwr we recieved a card in the mail signed by all the staff. It was a sweet touch and would highly reccomend to anyone.”
“Pretty easy to use and go through. Pricing is VERY FAIR for your dogs. Didn't like ?the register early not and then they text EVERYONE at the same time to come in for appointments. Now you have aad rush of people and animals at the exact same time....could do it better by texting in 15/30 mins intervals ?”

“There’s no vet I would trust as much as Dr.Scott. He has taken care of my pets since I was a kid. He cares so much about every cat, dog, and any other kind of critter that is brought in. He has also always answered my questions thoroughly in language that I can understand to make informed decisions about my fur babies. He’s one of the few vets I’ve heard of that gives you options and feedback on courses of treatment and doesn’t prey on lack of medical/veterinary knowledge to make a buck. There have been occasions when I bring my pets in with symptoms and he gives me options but recommends watching and waiting. He’s a vet that won’t require tests, medications or procedures unnecessarily to pad the bill. I wish this ranking system was more than 5 stars, they are 10/10 and I will only ever take my pets here for vet care.
The vet techs and receptionists here are also incredibly kind and helpful. The whole team here rocks!!”

“The doctors and staff here are the most dedicated people you will ever meet. The love that they have for the pets that are in their care is priceless. My dog Cora has suffered from back issues that cause her to go paralyzed with too much running and they constantly fix her, thank you Dr. McCann. When I had to say goodbye a few year ago to Titan, Dr. Whittington ever made me feel like I was wrong or throw a bunch of bills my way to say he can fix him. He told me it was the right thing to do for Titan. Katherine at the pharmacy desk always makes you feel like you are family. What a tremendous group of people. Thank you for all the years you have taken care of our family.”
“The team here are absolutely amazing. Dr. Semen has been our vet for years. She's given us advice when managing end of life care for our late cat Will. She takes emergency visits and even answers questions when we panic for our older kitties. Her staff even helped us meet and take home our youngest LuciPurr. “This is a wonderful, compassionate veterinary clinic that has provided great care to our pets for many years. It's not just the routine healthcare we appreciate, but it's the difficult issues where we've found comfort in knowing proper, loving care has been administered. Our dog, Jax, was been coming here for years for routine checkups and immunizations, but when it was discovered he had cancer in one of his dew claws, we were grateful that the cancer was skillfully removed with great care. Jax recovered fully. Then when Scout, one of our elderly cats, was so ill that he couldn't go on, the staff made him and us comfortable as we said goodbye to him. Their empathy and final care was so appreciated. And now, Steve, our Turkish Van of 13 years, has become ill and has been seen by both Dr. Ryan Gates and Dr. Eric Allie. I am so grateful to how kind, gentle and patient they were with him on both visits. Both vets were also patient with me, as I had so many questions for them, and they provided answers to everything. My wife and I deeply appreciate this clinic and staff for all they have done for our beloved pets.”
“They helped us tremendously when both of our dogs went through their golden years and had serious issues that needed daily maintenance. They made hours available for us so our dog could receive daily subcutaneous IV fluids for our dog with kidney disease so they could have a good final few weeks. Learned a lot from these vets and plan to bring future animals to them.”

“I wasn't sure about using a walk in clinic but it was time to let my dog go and his long time vet could not fit him in for a week. I am so glad I went here. Kaylee was so nice and gentle with him. She was very efficient and explained everything. They have a nice room with private entrance and parking by the door. My dog passed peacefully and we weren't rushed to leave as soon as he passed. Much nicer than my regular vet and much cheaper.”

“First of all, I am appalled by the one star reviews because I have been coming to Highland Vet following Dr. O'Connor from previous vet in Barberton. I travel fro Hartville to receive the best services. First of all, Covid and remodeling has left it a bit inconvenient, but sometimes there is a reason for long delays. I have had to put my animal down, and they took the time to care for my pet which probably caused a delay for another appointment. When I have to wait, I know that someone else's pet is getting the attention they need. They have treated at least 25 of my pets/rescues over the past 25 years. I have been to other vets in the past, but Highland Vet has treated all my pets with the best care, surgeries, and compassion at the end. Thank you all for your speedy prescriptions, knowledge, and the best care for my pets. They are so good with my Lucy who is going blind and has many issues. Thank you for the tips for Bosco who has a lot of Border Collie energy and behaviors. Thanks for caring!”
“Pros: less expensive than my vet, the surgery went very well. Con: they gave my dog trazadone to keep him from trying to lick his surgical incision, and it gave him serious neurological affects.... so I went to my vet to get him new meds from my regular vet, and they put him on an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and gabapentin for pain.... and so therefore, I ended up not saving money in the end.”

“This is our vet. They are great. The four star is because we were told we needed x-rays and ultra souds in ordered to perform a surgery. After the x-rays and ultra sound, we were told we could do the surgery if we wanted, which wasn't even necessary if the situation wasn't bothering our dog. So we didn't really need the x-rays and ultra sound. We do know that our old boy is healthier than he we might have thought, so thats good, but we weren't really concerned about anything but the issue we thought we were getting the pictures for. It costs over a thousand dollars for something not really necessary. I'm pretty frustrated about it. Not enough to find another vet because these people are really great. We've been to other vets and none of them have the experience like this vet. He's all about healing symptoms not covering up symptoms.
The doc, bless his heart loves his x-rays machine, but talk to the other staff and get their opinion.”
