Thrift Stores in Toledo, OH

“This place is great. I love having somewhere to donate that isn't affiliated to a company I don't like or a religion. The money goes to helping animals and the people that help them and the prices are incredibly fair. Its a proper thrift store that hasn't been sorted for the good stuff to go online and they even have a small section for party supplies and crafts that I can let my kiddo grab from. I wish I could comment on other reviews just being bad customers and not customer service because I've only ever experienced (myself or witnessed) excellent customer service from the friendly staff.”

“There are always sales going on! I rarely pay more than $15-20 a visit. The staff are very kind and helpful. This store in particular also has a better men's selection than other competitors, and a very nice selection of shoes!”

“Love going there! There are many things to find if you are a little patient because the store is pretty big. Plenty of clothing, furniture, toys, linens, electronics. The staff is very nice, specially Josie, she always greets everyone and goes beyond helping customers with many things. My 70 years old mother in a wheelchair adores her. I truly recommend you all going there.”

“This is the first review I have ever posted. This thrift store is so great the staff needs to know how great of a job they are doing!!! Thank you for your outstanding organization and care in what you are doing, it is so much appreciated! Very good selection of good quality items for a good price as well. If I could give this location more stars I would!”

“I actually really love this store because they put out really great clothing and the rails come out frequently. Buggies are hit and miss but that I think is down to staffing and lack of donations. The store is always clean and well presented with some amazing staff who take pride in their work and making the customers feel welcomed because they know us by face and by name as we shop so frequently and they have served so many years there.

As with many shoppers I spend a lot of time in the store to find the best bargains and wait for things coming out. I do this here and elsewhere and I spend a LOT of money across all the stores in the area.

What lets this store down is the cashiers and the sly back handed comments about what I have found to buy on any given day, several times trying to not sell me what I have picked up because they ‘need to ask the manager’ about the price (when a price is on it), or they think it might have gone out by accident as if should be ‘for ShopGoodwill’. This has actually been something that has happened on a few occasions over years not months. It is why of the Goodwill stores I do frequent, I go here the least.

I have let this slide a long time but after speaking to several other people I have found that it is not just me this happens to but that doesn’t make it any better it is actually worse. The comments I got last week had me enraged and I politely paid and left but I was furious. The implication was that because I had a reasonably good day finding things (i think I picked up 6 items that day, 3 that I caught from a fresh buggy) she basically asked how I ‘knew’ to shop that day as i seemed to have ‘got lucky’ inspecting the items. Bearing in mind I have lost count of the times I have walked in and waled out buying nothing and she has seen that too (and commented as I left).

Resellers are not the enemy. We spend a lot of money in your stores and do not need to be shamed for how we make a living. They probably spend more than any other shoppers especially since the pandemic. There is an abundance of donations and all the really great items are already pulled out and never see the floor. We have the same access as everyone else with slightly more patience to wait around for it. We live in hope for the odd treasure to slip through.

Likewise those who have less money do not need to be having a full on debate in front of a line of people about the price of soft toys because more and more items that were previously ‘set’ prices seem to be individually priced now. I have seen this happen multiple times basically implying they switched the tags.

Shopping there so much I see way more than I say here. If you are going to complain about paying customers (and your colleagues) at least be discreet. Rather than worrying so much about those who PAY for their goods and following them around the store making them feel uncomfortable, worry about the vast amount of theft because I guarantee that amounts to way more than I spend.”

“Everything in this store is always clean, and there’s a huge selection for everyone. The staff are an absolute joy, I’ve had negative experiences with employees at other thrift stores but that has never been the case here. We are always welcomed right away with friendly faces. I wish more men would donate jeans - that’s the only thing I’ve ever lacked finding here ? clothes are super fairly priced and there’s very often sales of at least 50% off either certain color tags or entire seasons. Go check it out!”

“the heart of the community, the Reynolds Corner Goodwill stands as a beacon of thrift, sustainability, and kindness. Upon entering, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with well-organized aisles and a diverse array of items waiting to be discovered. It is not just the merchandise that makes this location exceptional; the staff truly sets it apart.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a friendly smile. The staff members were not only attentive but genuinely eager to assist. Their enthusiasm for their work is palpable, making every visit feel like a pleasant experience. As I browsed through the aisles, I was struck by how knowledgeable the staff was about the various items for sale. They could easily provide insights about the furniture's origin, potential uses for unique finds, and tips on how to repurpose items creatively.
During my visit, I found a beautiful dining room set that immediately caught my eye. It was elegant yet understated, perfect for my home. However, I was concerned about how I would manage to transport such a large piece of furniture. Just as I was contemplating my dilemma, the manager approached me. With a warm smile, she introduced herself and offered to help.
Her extensive knowledge about the store's inventory was evident as she shared the history of the dining set I was interested in. She explained its craftsmanship and how it could fit seamlessly into various decor styles. It was clear she had a passion for helping customers find exactly what they were looking for, and her enthusiasm made the decision to purchase the set even easier.
Once I decided to buy the dining room set, the manager didn't hesitate. She promptly organized a plan to assist me. She gathered a few staff members, and together they carefully wrapped the furniture to ensure it was protected during transport. Her leadership was evident as she directed her team with clarity and efficiency, all while keeping the mood light and cheerful. I felt supported and valued as a customer, which is a rarity in many retail environments.
After everything was safely secured, the manager offered to help me load the dining set into my car. As we approached the parking lot, her determination shone through. She personally took charge of maneuvering the larger pieces, guiding me on how to position them for the best fit in my vehicle. With her expertise and strong work ethic, we managed to get the entire set loaded without any hassle.
In that moment, I realized that the Reynolds Corner Goodwill is not just a place to shop; it is a community hub where kindness and helpfulness reign supreme. The staff, particularly the manager, exemplified what it means to go above and beyond for customers. Their dedication transformed an ordinary shopping trip into an extraordinary experience.
In conclusion, my visit to the Reynolds Corner Goodwill was a testament to the impact of exceptional customer service. The kindness of the staff and the expertise of the manager made my experience enjoyable and memorable. I left not only with a beautiful dining room set but also with a renewed appreciation for the value of community and the power of a helping hand. Whether you are on the hunt for unique treasures or simply in need of assistance, this Goodwill location is undoubtedly a place that embodies the spirit of generosity and support.”
