“A great museum! More than I expected. We went on Father's Day and they were offering paid rides in an old Packard. My husband and kids LOVED the ride. Staff is very friendly and know their history of cars. There's even a small quiet library with lots of information. The cars are absolutely beautiful and so many cool details. A must see museum if you are in Dayton.”
“We absolutely loved having our wedding at Grande Hall. The space is absolutely gorgeous, elegant, timeless, and it photographed beautifully. We took pictures throughout the venue, including the vault, 20 Grande, and the rooftop.
Our guests could not stop raving about how stunning the venue was. It truly elevated the entire day and made everything feel special and memorable.
If you’re looking for a venue that wows your guests and makes your wedding day feel unforgettable, Grande Hall is it!”
“It was such a great experience here! Had my elopement here and the place is absolutely gorgeous and a great place to think about doing your elopement or wedding here too. The owner and the girl that helped us was such great help and was wonderful to work with and they was so very sweet and nice.”
“Can't say enough great things about Brightside. Carli and crew do a phenomenal job. Their venue is modular, has multiples for a natural flow for all of a wedding days events, and the space is uniquely Dayton in it's feel everywhere. The staff worked so well with my partner and I and helped to make sure our day was nothing but perfect. They allow the process to be super modular, so no two events feel the same (which is why there is such a wide variety of events there!). And most importantly, Carli and her staff treated us with empathy and respect, which left us feeling seen and supported in a time that felt super tumoultuous to plan a queer wedding. We cannot thank Carli and all of her staff enough for making our day unforgettable, but it was made truly special because we chose to host it at Brightside. For that, we are eternally grateful. Thank you Brightside and everyone involved in this truly one-of-a-kind location.”
“Have had a membership for years and frequently visit. It is a WONDERFUL place to go (repeatedly) with the grandchildren, or not! MANY adventures await: riding the carousel, pressing buttons on the model train display, climbing aboard the ARMCO engine, calling the dentist or florist on the old rotary dial phone, building with Lincoln logs or KNex, sliding down the hill in the tube slides, riding the train around the perimeter of the park, stopping in the print shop for a demo of old print presses (and walking away with a personalized card), eating in the tram in Culp's Cafe, etc. THEN add in the wonder of Carillon Lights during the holidays. This is a truly magical experience! Walking around the park at night when it is lit by string lights and Christmas music is playing throughout the park, hot toddy in hand, is amazing. On my visits to the park I've also seen the bald eagles several times, a pilated woodpecker and a hummingbird. This park has it all!!! Include a meal at Culp's Cafe or at Carillon Brewing with your visit, you won't be disappointed at the quality of food.”
“All I have to say is WOW! I recently attended a candlelight event covering The Beatles and Queen at this location and it was awesome! The venue was super classy and it was a very unique experience. I highly recommend attending any events here”
“This home is loaded with Wright family history. A knowledgable guide was stationed in each room. Located in a beautiful old hilly neighborhood, parking was on the street. It is two stories, furnished with many original pieces. The tour took approximately 1 hour. A real glimpse into the personal lives of these amazing brothers. Not recommended for those with walking/standing issues.”
“Kim was great to work with and the venue was perfect. We had slightly more people show up than anticipated and Kim found creative solutions to accommodate our party and make sure everyone was comfortable.”
“Excellent venue for a wedding. Space with do much character and possibilities. Requires Elite catering, but between the venue and Elite, the staff were incredible making this an evening beyond everyone's expectations!”

“We had a great experience at Cedar Springs! The venue is gorgeous. We had our wedding day in the middle of the summer on one of the hottest days of the year. It was really hot being all outdoors, but definitely cooled off into the evening which helped. We made it through the heat and were so glad we did cause the venue looked incredible for our big day. There is so much naturally greenery, the pond and fountain were an awesome backdrop, and Lisa and the staff really do a good job keeping up with the landscaping.
They provided all we needed for tables and chairs, as well as were a pretty big help day of getting things in order for us. We made the mistake to not get a wedding planner (it was clear to see that we didn't have one if you saw us setting up and tearing down). But the Cedar Spring staff (specifically the owner Lisa) helped us out where they could and that was very nice of them.
Only downfalls would be the day-of-coordinator we had (which comes with the venue), some restrictions were a disappointment, and communication leading up to our day was spotty at times. Our day-of-coordinator that came with the venue wasn't much help - we only met her at rehearsal as she was not at our 2-weeks 'til meeting. To be fair we didn't really know what kind of help we were going to get from that position so we tried to plan for our day without relying on that, but we were still a bit disorganized in areas lol (get a wedding planner!). We hoped we were able to get more from that inclusion in the venue but it was essentially a wash for day of. The restrictions that were annoying were stuff like no shots and certain drinking game songs like Thunderstruck. Our guests were the crowd that liked to party and some of those things woulda been fun - but we still had plenty of fun so this wasn't the end of the world. The communication ultimately was fine leading up to the big day, but we had some back and forth between text and email and some details got lost or confusion took place on what was being asked / talked about. If you go with Cedar Springs and need to get questions answered as you plan, just plan to keep communication to email to keep all in order.”
“My church rented the Arbor Hall for a Mother’s Day Tea. Mr Youngblood greeted us with professionalism and enthusiasm from the time we viewed The Arbor Hall until the end our event. He made sure that all our needs were met. He was readily available to answer any questions or concerns. The facility was clean and there was a friendly and accommodating on site staff member that made sure it stayed that way. I highly recommend the Arbor Hall to anyone looking for a place that meets all your needs and is 100% hassle free.”
“I am a Dayton wedding photographer and one of the official Arcade photographers for Cross Street Partners. I have photographed 238 weddings and only 1 here. It is a great venue with great spaces that fit huge crowds. As a wedding couple you'll love it. As a wedding photographer, I wish I could shoot there more. I photographed every stage of renovation from vacant to fully operational.”
“Best deli bistro in the area. Great management team in there moving them in the right direction. The food is amazing and the tables have awesome lazy Susan's in the middle which are always fun to sit around.”
“The Kennedy Club will be up under New Management also known as the Christopher Club but it would now be known as Blu Liquid let me tell you this you're going to love all of the new remodeling. “My husband and I went to Montgomery County Fairgrounds event center for the Greater Dayton Home Show to get ideas for the new house we are planning to have built. There were businesses for bathroom remodels, kitchen cupboards, flooring, a mattress business, roofing, etc. We got a lot of great ideas and met some very nice business owners and their employees. We even agreed to get an estimate to replace an old tub for a shower/tub combo in a house we purchased from my mother-in-law's estate that we plan to fix up and rent. We got the estimate two days after attending the home show and the price is locked in for a year. We decided to go ahead with this project. The employee, Ann, from Improve It was wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable.”

“Having bathroom redone at home, had to stay and it's been nice, they don't cheap on anything, full bottles of dove soap shampoo and body wash in shower plus all kinds of things that you don't get at most places nowadays. Been a very pleasant stay.”
“Went to the Unwind & Dine event yesterday with some of my dearest friends and babyyyy — it did not disappoint!
✨ 10/10 experience ✨
The food was fire ?
The music had us dancing all night ?
And the vibe? Grown, sexy & stress-free just how I like it!
Sometimes you really gotta step away from the hustle and just be present — laugh, love, and let go with your people.
Whewww, my soul needed that.”
