I don't have a cat right now , but when I do get one , this is most definitely where I'll be taking my cat or any other animals for that matter , the location is a no brainer but also good people lovely ladies its been awhile since ive been in but they take really good care of animals in their care .

1551 Knight Rd, UrbanaMunsil and Linda are amazing with our dogs, Luna and Rusty. ?? They love going to the Schafer Inn, is what we call it. ? We have also enjoyed their specialties. We've bought window decals of pit bulls to represent our pitties. We also had name plates made with their names and our phone numbers on them attached to their collars for identification. They were perfectly done. ? They also have a lot of other pet novelties. I absolutely give the Schafer Kennel a 10 star review! ??????????! Paws Animal Shelter
1535 US-36, UrbanaI came from Portage Co. Kent State area and found this shelter worth the drive. I've seen many shelters over the past 50 years but this shelter deserves a 10-star rating as the #1 best. Friendly, caring staff that shows that they love each of their animals. No cages! This place is so spotless that you could eat right off the floor. All of the cats I met were happy, playing and very well adjusted. With the kitten I chose it was love at first sight for both of us. She smiled at me and slept all the way home (3 hours). They give you an adoption kit with the pet's complete medical records, cat toy, cat food and blanket. The director was excellent in following through the process with me by both phone and e-mail. They also had the best selection of kittens that I was looking for. If I were a kitten waiting to be adopted, I'd want to be here!
