Purchased all Ply Gem windows for a total renovation and one cracked across the entire window from a weather event. Ply Gem has now officially taken 5 weeks to NOT get back to me, to NOT communicate with me. I have had to call in, myself, 3 times to check on my Case ID and the customer service representative, every time, says that 4-6 weeks JUST TO TELL ME IF THE GLASS IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY is the standard. Whatever you do, do NOT buy Ply Gem or Great Lakes windows.

We love our windows!! The installers came and replaced all of our leaking, old windows , ten, in all in one day. The craftsmanship of the windows is top notch.

Stopped by hoping to talk to a salesman/installer for putting windows on my home and rental properties. Pulled up to their building with signs all over the place saying no firearms. If I can't enter a business as a licensed carrier, you don't need my business.

We called to get the window replaced because we were guaranteed lifetime warranty. There was no number so we could not get the replacement we were promised.

I used to work here back in 2010 absolutely loved it but hated my co worker who seemed more obsessed with whether or not I was wearing a bra than her own work station. She is one of the main reasons I stopped showing up to work and she got no consequences for being a trouble maker. I in fact has a seamless Victoria secret bra on but that was absolutely none of her business.I can say to whoever is leaving bad reviews that a lot of hard work and effort goes into those windows to make sure they are guaranteed satisfaction. Visit the factory not sure if they’ll let you but there is a lot of hard work that are behind those windows.

The quality of the products and the customer service has significantly declined over the years. I cannot get assistance from anyone anymore and there is nothing but cold shoulders and finger pointing. Till this day I am still waiting to hear back from Cotina in the service department and I made the request in June! its now October and it looks like it will never happen.

Great Lakes has a very good window but I am a dealer and can not get Brian my salesman to send me any color chips or any price sheets so it is really hard to sell there product!Randy Kramer

While I love having new, working windows, I am not at all happy with them constantly fogging up. Some days/nights you can't see ANYTHING through them! No answers from the installer either. So far I give Vinyl Window Solutions 2 stars only! But they do seem to be quieter and definitely more energy efficient than the old 18 year old units they replaced!

Great Lakes Window has a nice brochure and their windows come with a lifetime guarantee. Window looks nice installed until it doesn't and then you find out what a Great Lakes Window Super Service and lifetime warranty actually means. This window in our kitchen has been like this for 7 months and the only response from Great Lakes Window is the assignment of a case number.

I'm just placing a comment as a potential window purchaser. After looking at the reviews I'm realistic when reading reviews to throw out the top two or three reviews, throw out the bottom two or three or four bad reviews. And then just realistically look at everything in between get the blend of the average?I have to honestly admit once I'm done doing that I just can't go forward with your product. The sales rep was here yesterday quoting me $23,000. But he was more intent on selling me what I couldn't have versus what I really want?? So with reviewing the average reviews in the middle...... And the indecisiveness of this sales rep selling me things I'm not interested in..... I think I'm just going to go back in and look for some other windows. I wish you the Best of Luck.

Great Lakes Windows is a great place to purchase great windows at a great price. It's also a great place to work. They have open interviews on every Wednesday from 9 to 1.

We would give Zero star if we could. We purchased windows in the mid and late 90's. They have a lifetime warranty as long as we own the home. We called them in March 2020 for warranty claim and communicated again with them in July and October. We were only able to talk to a receptionist and she keeps telling us that the contact person, Carlana, got our information and is supposed to give us a claim number. It's been over 6 months and she has never contacted us after she requested a copy of our warranty. They seem only interested in getting a new business. Say away from this company because you will eventually be disappointed when something goes wrong down the road.UPDATE: WE SENT ALL THE INFORMATION TO THE E_MAIL THAT WAS PROVIDED BY THE OWNER. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST ONE WEEK AND WE HAVE YET TO HEAR BACK FROM THEM. They did not even acknowledged receiving our e-mail. Still very disappointing...

Had 18 windows installed and although the performance of the window is good, the craftsmanship is not. Some windows had dings and scratches on the inside frames, several windows had defects in the screens, and all the windows had debris from the core insulation inside the sash that is hard to get out. I would only purchase again if the price justified dealing with the imperfections knowing your not getting a well put together window.

The new windows are already making an impact on the home in both looks and comfort. We had original single pane that taxed our heating and cooling system. With these being installed only a few days, we've noticed a big difference. They were not the cheapest we were quoted, but overall, the value is very good. You do get what you pay for. Not sure I could have said that with the others

The window started out great but over time the ones that are mostly shaded all have something growing between the panes! Several of the ones that get sun have warped as well. I have a couple that are very hard to open. There is no stiffener inside the frame like wood so the vinyl frame warps with the heat. They are supposed to have a lifetime warranty but because the contractor that installed them is gone, I need to find and pay another one to fix almost all of my windows!Have to admit, the lady on the other end of the phone when I called was very nice, doesn't really help a lot but she was nice.UPDATE - Replacing them with another brand and putting these in the dump where they belong!
