First, let me say that working with Taylor Bizarro and the maintenance crew was a great experience during my stay at Savoy. Taylor and the maintenance crew did a wonderful job. However, I can’t say the same about the rest of the leasing staff, Elizabeth Dennon and Shannon Sharpe. I lived there for 18 months while my home was being built. On June 12 I provided a 60 day notice not to renew my lease as required by the lease agreement. I also told the staff I will more than likely be out of the apartment by July 5 although my lease doesn't expire until Aug 15.…I never said that I would not be paying rent thru lease end (Aug 15).Immediately Shannon said I had 2 options.1: Pay rent thru July 5 and a “lease buy out fee” of $3500. This wasn’t really an option as it was much cheaper just to pay rent thru the end of the lease (Aug 15) as was my intention all along. When I asked if she would lower the buy-out fee she stated that they have to charge all tenants the same amount or it would be a violation of Fair Housing laws. That is a total lie. I spoke with several tenants who paid less than that and some who paid nothing at all. Additionally, it is not a violation of Fair Housing Laws to negotiate a lower buy-out fee. Lastly, the buy-out fee field in the lease was left blank. Why leave it blank if they have to charge all tenants the same set amount? I will be looking into this a bit closer with the state of Ohio landlord/tenant laws.2: The second option was to move out by July 5 and immediately pay all rent thru the lease period (rent acceleration) and IF they are able to rent the unit to someone else before Aug 15 they would refund the prorated amount. Why would I pay all rent immediately and move out by July 5 when it would cost me the same to continue my lease thru Aug 15 and pay the same amount without having to move out by July 5? Additionally, how would I know if and when they really rented the unit out? My neighbor moved out a month before I did and that unit sat empty for at least 1 month if not longer.I tried to call the regional manager (ReginaB) at the corporate office but till this day I have not received a response to my email or voicemail. The regional manager had the onsite manager do the dirty work and call me instead.Don’t let the 4.5 star google reviews fool you. Most are from people who took a tour or are on the waiting list and have not lived at Savoy. Scroll down and read reviews from tenants who have moved out and you will get a better idea of the move out process, cost and staff attitude.I understand it is a business and they have to maximize revenue but lying to achieve that goal is not acceptable. Not returning tenant emails and voicemails is not acceptable. Also, once you take a tour or move-in you will be bombarded with email requests for a google review. Don't fall for it. That is how they are getting a majority of the 5 star reviews. People are completing reviews before they have truly interacted with the leasing staff. If you decide to stay at Savoy, please make sure the lease buy out fee is filled in with an actual dollar amount and not left blank.Good luck and thanks for reading this review!

To be honest, I wanted to live here so bad that I didn't take a tour or anything. I was sold just by what I saw on the website. Unfortunately, I am a disabled veteran and that is my only form of income. I was denied by the Savoy because of my income which adds up to over $40,000 per year (as a reminder VA disability payments are not taxed or deducted so that is a net over $40K per year). If I made $70K in a regular W2 position, made a 10% contribution to my 401K, and had average benefit deductions I would net around low 40 something. My perception is that they don't want disabled folks, at least veterans to reside here. What a shame, the place looks sweet! C'est la vie!

I wanted to share my experience of being on the waitlist at Savoy and failing to find a unit here. I liked Savoy when I toured it, but the waitlist system made me anxious and I wasted my screening fee, thus three stars. I put my application in on May 1st and passed the screening and got on the waitlist, with a preferred move-in date in early August. I received two offers; the first one was sent to me on May 30th, but the unit was on the first floor, despite I indicated my preference for a unit on the third floor in my application (move in date Aug 8th). The second offer (third floor), on June 21st, had a move-in date of June 27th, which was far from my desired move-in date. In June, feeling anxious, I called them to inquire about the number of people on the waitlist ahead of me, but they did not provide an answer. They said that they usually advise people to apply to other apartments from the beginning, which they didn't say to me in May. Additionally, despite the Hills Properties having multiple apartment complexes within the city, they would not transfer my application to other apartments that also had waitlists and I have to pay the screening fee again.Fast forward, I did not receive any other offers, and the two offers I mentioned above either did fit my preferences or timeframe. I requested a refund for the deposit, which was promptly deposited (they had made it clear that the application fee would not be refunded when I applied). When people search for an apartment, they already face risks due to information asymmetry regarding what the apartment would be like. Not being able to know if there will or will not be a vacant unit adds another layer of information asymmetry. The waitlist system carried the risk that I might accept any offer they gave me out of anxiety, even if it didn't meet my preferences, simply because I had already paid some money. I couldn't grasp this aspect early on. If I were to move again, I would not risk myself to apartments with a waitlist system and go with the ones that state their vacancies.

Taylor was amazing in showing us around and answering all of our questions. We came in close to closing time just to get some information and he offered us a tour and answered all the questions we had. The apartment was very nice and the amenities were amazing. Hoping to call Savoy my future home!

Taylor gave me a wonderful experience for a tour I had with him yesterday I had called him short notice and he still made sure to make room for me to give me a tour. His customer service was great. Had a smile on his face wasn’t trying to push me out for a application. He was just really mellow and I left out of there wanting to move in.!!

Just moved in a month and a half ago. So far it has been an excellent experience, which is generally unexpected from an apartment complex. The staff is very friendly and professional, the grounds are clean and there are little extras that show that the owners and management take pride in their property.

The apartments are comfortable, have a modern design and excellent quality finishes. The atmosphere is pleasant, the common areas are beautiful, being in the place transmits peace and harmony. I love it, I recommend it a thousand percent. I’m happy that it is my new home. The staff is attentive and cordial, especially Elizabeth, it was a pleasure to take the tour with her company.

Living at Savoy was an okay experience, but went severely sour after moving out, Savoy is now attempting to charge me for standard wear and tear items such as scratches from pans on a glass cooktop.Additionally, the living experience had a few major flaws such as heroin needles found behind the dumpster, which made it feel unsafe to walk, or walk dogs in the areas surrounding. The garage doors would also break more than once a month and can stay open for weeks at a time. The team at Savoy, in my experience, also treats the main building much better. The hallway scents are replaced more often in the main buildings, and things stay broken much longer than in the main building.Overall, would not recommend you spend your money living here. Look elsewhere. Also, if you look at the 5 star reviews, you will see that most of them are people who are trying to get a spot at savoy, or those who have lived there for a very short period of time. If you then look at the 1 star reviews, you will see a consistent message from everyone who broke their lease, or moved out, and has been charged an arm and a leg.

We took our tour of Savoy West Chester yesterday with Taylor Bizarro, Leasing Consultant, Taylor was absolutely fantastic in providing every detail of the property, floor plans and complete transparency of prices and fees. He answered every question and spent extra time to show us every amenity available. In addition he was just wonderful in communicating with us and listening to our needs as well as our current situation. The property and units are nice and overall and a very good value for the location and what they provide.

Taylor B gave me an excellent tour of the facility. There is so much a resident can enjoy when outside their home. The Savoy had thought of everything!I was very impressed. I look forward to the day my new home is available, Thanks Taylor!
