“Frowine’s is a wonderful small-town hardware store with more than hardware. Julie Frowine, Jim’s daughter, has great taste in home decorations with wonderful things from candles to rocking chairs. I have lots of pretties from Frowine’s. I love to tell people that I bought my dressy jacket at my local hardware store.”
“The man in charge of the U-Haul side of Ace gave my rental to another woman and charged my card for her rental. Although, he did do a "reversal" and my card was credited for the amount. It was the principle that had me frustrated. Aside from prices being somewhat high, they do have a good product selection and friendly customer service.Update: Today my wife and I visited to find an adapter for our washer. Stan was the gentleman who helped me find what I needed and he was extremely helpful. Stan went above and beyond and ordered the part I needed. Stan even offered to deliver me the part because I live locally. I certainly enjoy shopping at Vandervort Ace Hardware!”
“What little mechanical work I've had done by stakers was done correctly the first time. That's definitely rare anymore. Any parts I've needed they had or got in just a few days. They are friendly & helpful. also it's a clean pleasant place.”

“Wish there were more stars! Highly recommend this plumbing company. Not only is their price very competitive, but they actually care about the homeowner. In this day and age that is very unusual! Cannot recommend them enough.”
“This store carries, in stock, just about anything you might need for your outdoor DIY project, farm operation, and livestock. They also have a nice selection of quality power tools, hardware (by the pound!), towing, plumbing, construction, welding, electrical, and a great selection of ropes and chains. They have good quality clothing and gloves as well, frequently the gloves are on sale so watch for those. They have a fantastic automotive supply, as well as tractor and lawn machine parts. They carry Husqvarna chainsaws and lawn care equipment. Live animals too! You just have to see for yourself. A personal experience: I had a truck battery that had died, about 4 months out of warranty. I went to the service counter with the replacement and the dead batteries and asked if they're was anything they could do. They prorated the cost of the new battery, dropping nearly $75 off the price. They certainly did not have to do that and they won themselves a customer.”
“It's a lowes. If you're buying stuff and expect to get you're points shop in store. But other than that, they have everything you will need for all your home improvement needs. And the gardening center is always decent.
It can be difficult to find staff to help you.”
