“Myself and many of my family members have gotten loans from HFLA in tough times. I always appreciate how intentional and helpful they are. Especially as a black woman, it’s so reassuring to interact with an organization that truly makes me feel like I am worthy of help regardless of my skin tone. The lending world can be very discriminatory towards minorities and towards other marginalized identities, but not HFLA! I would recommend them to anyone.”

“Tzu Chi is an international outreach to those in need, often those who have experienced natural disaster or profound disadvantages. The volunteers who take part view giving as a privilege and a form of service. I was only a visitor and wrote briefly about the Highland Heights, Ohio branch a few times; however, the work they do is profound. Dharma Master Cheng Yen is a Taiwanese Buddhist nun, philanthropist, and teacher. Her teachings have had a profound effect on her followers, and they are inspired to do good and live a balanced life. I am glad to know about this outreach around the world and close to home. The group is also ecologically conscious and strives to put compassion into action.”

“As far as I am concerned there needs to be a 10 star rating. In my opinion every person of color especially should find someone to talk to. My therapist Averil is a great communicator and listener. She provides coaching on how to work through things in the moment. The most important aspect for me is that I know I have a space where it is safe for me to be vulnerable and just be me and talk about all of "it".I know that every time I leave a session my spirit is lifted up and I feel free to be the best Ivra possible.”

“The Mayfield store is good however it is impossible to shop by the furniture space in this store. It’s piled up, crowded and aisles are usually blocked. Other than that I enjoy shopping here and found many cool things!”

“Good prices, great customer service, and you never know what you're going to find. You will be amazed at all the items you will find. So if you've never been... you should check it out. The prices are half, if not more, off what you would pay for brand new items. And by the way, a lot of people buy brand new items, and donate them, or they have new items never used or worn that they donate. Once I found a brand new, full length, REAL Mink coat, and I only paid $20 for it. So you don't need a lot of money, and you might just find ALL the things you need for little to nothing.Happy Shopping.”

“My child was there from March 2020 - Aug 2020.To be honest the first 6 weeks were pretty discouraging due to many factors & situations that my child hand a huge part in creating. But staff and myself worked diligently to create a game plan for treatment for my child that worked and from there things went very smoothly! We worked closely on a weekly basis (sometimes on a daily basis) to discuss behaviors, game plans, visits, incident reports, and my favorite was getting the positive reports on growth and change from different staff members working closely with my child. To any parent considering Residential Treatment, please know it is No cake walk for you or your child and it takes a lot of hard work for everyone involved to be successful!! I was naive about the process and quickly had to learn that my child had to be knocked down (Per Say) in order for them to be built back up into the Best person they can be!! It was hard as a Mother to trust that other people had my child's best interests at heart but I couldn't be more happy with the outcome of letting Bellefaire take the reins.I have to give credit where credit is due, not that I don't believe that each and every staff member didn't have a hand in helping to guide and counsel my child because I know it was a huge effort on everyone's part but a few that I worked hand & hand with need recognition!Mr. Kevin was a phenomenal Case Manager & was there every step of the way! He made me feel very informed throughout this process and it was definitely a pleasure working with him.Miss V is a supervisor on the unit my child stayed in & did a wonderful job holding my child accountable! Miss V was like the "Mom" to my child when I couldn't be & I loved that she seen the potential that my baby had even through all of the mental health diagnoses and behavior issues.Miss Jen has got to be the best therapist I have ever met in my life!! I have had my child with at least half dozen agencies and more than a dozen different therapist and no one has ever been able to build a relationship or earn trust from my child but Miss Jen!! I wish I were able to clone her, she is quite an amazing therapist!!I gave 4 ☆ instead of 5 just because of the rough 6 week start, but I Absolutely Recommend Bellefaire JCB to any parent seeking Residential Treatment.Thank you again Bellefaire Staff for Everything!!”

“As mental health non-profits go, Crossroads Health is one of the most passionate, mission-driven and caring organizations you can find. Well run, stable and growing - even in a Covid-19 environment - Crossroads is not only a good place to help behavioral and mental health assistance, for licensed social workers and counselors it can be a wonderful and collaborative place to work.”
