They got an extra Star because the technician workers local are really nice and hard working. The customer service and the internet sucks. I never get the strength that I’m paying for and it is always dropping to 1 or less. So frustrating.

We have used consolidated for years and there has been a downward trend overall for awhile. Recently, trying to contact customer service helped me make the decision to switch to something else if at all possible. The experience was less than one star, I’m leaving three stars for the actual internet service.

Consolidated communications might actually be worse than Time Warner Cable. Their pricing is awful. Vyve, an ISP one city over, offers speed that is literally five times faster, for less than half the price. And Vyve's service is actually good service. Consolidated has no office, and their techs really don't seem to have a good grasp of what they are doing. I have had trouble with Consolidated for months now, and every time they try to blame it on the line, and offer to run a line, but they never come back to do it. They are overpriced, and underperformers, and they get away with it because they are literally the only provider for this part of town.

Check out the BBB REPORT it tells it all.. We are rural area they are our only choice so they stick to us 110 for internet that drops on a regular basis and phones go out when it rains..They get federal money to supply reasonable phone and internet to rural area new customers get to pay 49.00 for internet phone and TV I asked why it would hurt to drop current customers to that rate I was told the could not they where trying to grow the customer base. I asked don't they want to keep the current customer he said that old customers do not matter.

I am one of those that started with a small company that was the only choice in a rural area. They were fine. Then Fairpoint bought them and things went downhill. Now, Consolidated is the owner and things have managed to get worse. I cannot imagine a worse tech support group, but it seems they merely represent the company's philosophy as a whole. There aren't many options for me, but one is that I am dropping Consolidated as soon as possible no matter the cost.

The only service available in our area so have virtually been forced to have it since I moved here 9 yrs ago. It has super sucked the entire time. The people that work in their customer service, tech support, and repair departments have all seemed like nice people, patient and professional, but the end result is always the same. To exacerbate the issue, we live in the woods at the lake so NEVER pull the MB they promise. Instead it fluctuates near the lower end of 19k-52k- (52 is FLYING to us) and now they have raised the price!! I will be so happy when another company is available to me. Don't waste your time and money.

This company has the absolute worst customer service. My internet went down two different times with 3/4 days in between each time that I did not have internet. The customer care representatives did not care, they would insist that someone would call me back and no one ever called, I had to call several times spending a total of 6 hours on the phone with these people. No one ever knew what the last person had put in so I would have to explain the situation over and over again. I decided to cancel service and guess what, there is a cancellation fee of $99. I would not need to cancel if there was reliable internet and someone who cared about their customer. I do not recommend this company. It has been a hassle and a headache.

$63 for upto 15 mbs, but I have never seen it over 1.2 mbs and it is usually less than 1. While phone service is no longer required, and their customer support is friendly, you have to talk to them to pay your bill over the phone if you don't have phone service. It is possible to stream programs, but they don't stream well. And during peak hours, you might as well play games, or browse Facebook, because speeds get a lot worse. And unless you want to pay more for satellite service, there are no other options. They bought a local Telcom that had a grandfathered monopoly on Chouteau, Cedar Crest, and Peggs. So for this community, they are the only game in town. With no competition, they can charge more for a marginal product.
