About Lawton Animal Welfare
Lawton Animal Welfare is a shelter with kind and helpful staff, though it can be understaffed. The facility is noted as super nice and clean, almost brand new, though some find it pretty small and not the cleanest. They have many nice dogs and cats available for adoption. The staff is described as very kind and patient, and volunteers are often seen walking the dogs. Potential adopters are advised to be patient and to complete any extra paperwork in person, keeping copies of documents. While many have had positive adoption experiences, some express disappointment with transparency regarding medical history, noting instances where illnesses like kennel cough were not fully communicated. The shelter also occasionally hosts community activities like Lawton Rocks.

I love how you can give a dog to somebody that don't even have a house. And let just anybody adopt them without even checking their background, they're living situations or anything.Thank you latwon animal control

Hard day having to put one of my cats down. She was about 17 years old no longer could walk or eat much. She lost a lot of weight. Didn’t want to see her suffer anymore. The lady at the desk was so nice and pprwk was done quickly. It was also the lest costly of any of the other places I called today.
