Not only did they go the extra mile to make my kids feel like they were in a safe space, they even made sure that I had someone to talk to about the feelings that I had as well. They loved it so much my kids have asked if they can go back there to play. I hope the circumstances never arise again that we would ever have to lol but it’s uplifting to this momma that despite the situation that brought us in, they felt at ease. “It’s my understanding that they’re waiting on a part for the hot tub at the YMCA. I also know that they have closed all the hot tubs at other YMCA so if they’re going to close it, I wish that they would just tell us and not lead us on with the maintenance signs and just tell us they’re going to close it, they did that with the steam room they never would tell us they acted like it was just closed temporarily and now it’s been three years and they never planned on opening it back up. It would’ve been nice if they would’ve just been honest and said no, we will not be opening it back up .”

They provided me not only safe housing but a mentor, clothes, emotional support, legal help, and every resource to make sure I would graduate and not let homelessness take me down with it! The staff has always been supportive and I still go back to visit when I can!”
