Hotels in Stillwater, OK

“Overall, it’s a pretty decent newer hotel in a good area with easy access and really good coffee close by. It is your typical Springhill suites hotel and layout.

There is not many channels to choose from on TV and the Internet based free apps like HBO and Showtime did not work due to network issues.

The water flow on the sink is extremely low and water saving and makes it almost unusable. I found myself shaving and washing my face under the bathtub nozzle.

There are a couple issues I have with Marriott Springhill Suites in general after staying in at least 50 different properties and hundreds of nights.

1. 99% of the time the design of the shower door leaks water onto the floor. I’ve seen multiple modifications to this problem at different locations. I hope the original designer was fired.

2. The desk has a sliding glass partition, which I guess is supposed to cut you off from the sleeping area, I’m not sure why because the glass rattles sometimes and at this location it rattled with every footstep.

3. For me, there’s almost nothing edible at the free breakfast and sometimes I just have a glass of juice and a yogurt, but the cranberry juice was out. It could use improvement across the chain.

4. It’s hard to see the TV for the person sleeping at the bed close to the AC unit.

5. Frosted glass bathroom sliding door lets all the light through when someone goes to the bathroom and you’re trying to sleep. It also makes noise, but is space saving.

6. Tiny square shallow bathroom sink, get dirty easily.

7. Tiny pool, why bother? Hot tub would get more use.

The good:

1. Mostly newer properties, clean.

2. Decent size room with good layout and walk-in closet, multifunctional seating area.

“Stayed here because it is really close to OSU. The rooms were extremely roomie and the staff is seriously the nicest! Jerry and Tiffany were an absolute gem. The absolute sweetest people ever. Also, Jerry was busy busy making sure everything was so clean.”

“I think the service was good and i love the rooms. I love all the channels the TV provides and I’ve been at this hotel 3 times now. However, after the 1st time they changed how you ate breakfast. Instead of going and serving your self what ever you want. It’s pretty much a little restaurant where you have to sit and order. Not a big fan of this and if it wasn’t for the nice rooms I would’ve went somewhere else. The breakfast is a big part of my stay. No other holiday Inn does this that I’ve been too”
