“I honestly cannot say enough about the compassion we received here today. From the front desk, to the vet tech, to the doctor, the entire place made me feel like they genuinely cared about their patients and the families who love them. I brought in my son’s cat, Mr. Bean, because he wasn’t acting like himself. We’ve dealt with a scary pet emergency before when one of our other cats lost a toe, and thankfully we were able to treat it, care for the wound, and watch him heal. But this was completely different. I initially thought we would get Mr. Bean some medicine and he would be okay. Then the doctor called with the devastating news that his blood smear was suspicious for a serious tick borne blood infection and that he needed a special compounded medication. Hearing that absolutely crushed me. A wound was something I could see, clean, bandage, and help heal. This was happening inside his blood, where there was nothing I could personally fix. I felt completely helpless. I’ll admit that when I first received the bad news, I was a little sharp. I had gone from believing he was going to be okay to suddenly being terrified that we could lose our family pet. But the doctor met my fear with compassion instead of taking it personally. She told me, “You tried. This wasn’t your fault.” That hit my heart. I hugged her because I needed those words more than I realized. Instead of sitting there blaming myself and feeling hopeless, something switched in me. Okay, this isn’t about blame. What do we need to do to save Mr. Bean? Then came the next problem: money. I was literally trying to calculate how I was going to afford a potentially lifesaving compounded medication for my son’s cat. And this staff did not just hand me a prescription and send me away to figure it out alone. They went into detective mode. 😭 The tech, doctor, and front desk started helping me figure out where his medication could be compounded. They helped search for pharmacies and options until we found somewhere that could prepare what he needed at a price my family could actually swing. They kept trying to find a solution with me. The tech did everything she could. The doctor did everything she could. The front desk did everything they could. And through all of it, nobody made me feel embarrassed because money was tight or made Mr. Bean feel like he mattered any less because I was worried about what I could afford. They treated him like a patient worth fighting for, and they treated me like what I was, a scared mom trying desperately to save her family’s cat. Mr. Bean still has a fight ahead of him, and we don’t know yet how his story will end. But tonight he has a diagnosis being pursued, a treatment plan, and medication being prepared for him. Most importantly, he has a chance. Whatever happens next, I will never forget how hard this entire team worked to help us give him that chance. Sometimes veterinary care isn’t only about treating an animal, it’s about helping the humans who love them find a way forward when they feel completely helpless. Thank you for caring about Mr. Bean when our family needed it most. ❤🐾”

“This was our first time visit. The staff & Dr. Landers at Heritage Veterinary Hospital were very friendly & helpful. We were able to get our dog in during the weekend hours. We were concerned about our dog's eyes, they were swollen, red & cloudy. Dr. Landers was very thorough with testing & explaining. He went over & beyond to make sure our 13yr old dog was comfortable. The antibotic eye drops & flush he prescribed seem to be working.We are forever grateful! they even did a follow-up check to see how she was doing, which we appreciate. Pricing was reasonable since we don't have pet Insurance. Perfect location, do highly recommend.”

“My dog - Apollo - went suddenly blind over the weekend. Our regular veterinarian referred us to another ophthalmologist, however first appt available was late July. Googled this place and called. Initially, their first available appointment was 2 days out, however based on the current symptoms, they instructed me to bring him in and they will fit me in. Apollo was diagnosed with optic neuritis, Dr. Gwin felt Apollo's eyesight will fully recover to the left eye, 50/50 on the right eye. Oral medications were prescribed, so now we watch and wait. Staff were friendly and professional, Dr. Gwin explained everything and sent records over to our regular vet. Would definitely recommend.”

“The experiences I have had with Dr. Wilson have been nothing less than amazing. She treated my cat, Neo, and got him to perfect health. I took my Doberman, Phoenix, to see her when I basically had no hope after he was diagnosed with a terminal cancer diagnosis. She gave me hope…not that we can necessarily change the course - but that he will be comfortable in the time we have left with him. She is thorough, she is honest, and she cares. She is a godsend. “I highly recommend this clinic if you’re in the area. They are reliable, kind, & professional & work well with me and my rescue dog. They take care credit which helps us a lot with budgeting. They have good prices and a reasonably priced pharmacy too, being able to use care credit for regular medication is such a big budget help. They are helpful, and the facilities are very clean, (even to my sensitive nose). I am differently abled and that has presented challenges at times, but they have gone above and beyond to help me care for my fur baby when they can. I have a tendency to be picky and it still gets my vote of approval, we have been coming here for at least 4 years and intend to continue.”

“Ive been going to Dr Dan for the last 4+yr since moving to the area. A couple yr ago I moved to Checotah, but I still drive the 3 hrs to take my cats to Stockyards because of the level of expertise I have come to rely on. He is the ONLY vet in Oklahoma who can reliably diagnose fecal samples. Other vets have almost killed my cats due to miss diagnosis of fecal tests. Dr Cason has spent HOURS on painstaking analysis so he can give me an accurate diagnosis. He has saved my kittens lives more times than I can count. As a savannah breeder, and cat rescuer, Dr Dan and the Stockyards team has become an indispensable part of my cats lives. I dread the day he retires.”
