The Pet Value at Agincourt Mall is wonderful. The staff is very welcoming and extremely helpful. I've had to purchase specialty food and specific brands for my foster Frenchie, and the staff have absolutely stepped up and assisted me with all my inquiries.

Not comfortable to shop in this store

Terrible location!
Let's face it, they don't have the best prices in town and that's not their angle, but we shop there because living in the area it is nice to be able to take our dogs to the store sometimes. Staff at this location are not welcoming of people with pets at all and show a poor attitude and unwillingness to help when they see you come in with pets, almost as if they want to just shoo you out the store instead of trying to get your business.
Staff are also trained to lie to customers regarding not accepting Amex credit cards, going as far as saying that customers are responsible for paying their merchant fees if they decide to use an Amex card. Clearly not the case!

online availability not matching the actual stock and costumer service is not as good as all other pet value I've been.

Since the day I adopted my dog, this Agincourt Pet Valu had become my home store for all of my puppy's needs. All the associates have always been kind and helpful. Upon my visit at the shop today, there was a new associate on training at the cash register.
I had gone down one of the aisles looking for pumpkin puree to assist with my puppy's sickness. I then asked the store associate for the location of the pumpkin puree and she pointed me to the next aisle.
As I was grabbing a pumpkin puree product off the shelf, the store associate was walking down the aisle towards us, heading back towards the cash register. The store associate said to my dog as she was walking by, “Hello, cutie,” thus my dog felt inclined to jump up on her to receive a pat on the head. However, the store associate began kneeing my dog away with excessive force, as if my dog was a soccer ball she was trying to bounce away. My dog fell to the floor on her back, got back up and tried to jump back up on the store associate again for a pat on the head, however, the same thing happened again about (4) four more times. On the last attempt, my dog was upset by how hard the new store associate was hitting her, so my dog gave the store associate a light nip on the knee to show her it was not nice to be so aggressive and retreated behind me.
Clearly upset, the associate approached me and said, "I am a professional dog trainer outside of here. I’ve been training dogs for years and I want to show you something. What breed is she – a Frenchie?" I corrected her, "No, she’s a Boston Terrier."
The associate continued, "Okay, so she’s going to grow really big to a large dog then. I can tell you, right now she’s a puppy, so it’s okay, but if she’s doing this when she’s bigger, she’s going to get herself killed," implying a threat to harm my dog.
The store associate went down on her knees and tried to grab my dog’s snout, but my dog kept trying to move her head away which made the store associate feel more frustrated, leading to the associate trying to grab the back of my dog’s neck. When my dog tried to spin away from the store associate’s grip, the store associate grabbed my dog’s ear and pulled it which caused my dog to let out a loud yelp. The associate then grabbed my dog’s neck again and then said to me, “When she bites someone, you need to grab her snout hard like this and shake her head. This is going to break the habit quickly,” as she started to go for my dog’s nose again.
As my dog tried to get away from her a second time out of fear of the associate, the store associate reached for my dog’s neck again and my dog started to cry again from the traumatic experience, and the store associate said, “What a drama queen”.
I have never ever used physical discipline on my dog and believe in raising my dog with positive reinforcement. The new store associate overstepped her boundaries in “training” my dog without my consent, and decided it was okay to use aggressive physical reprimand on a customer’s young puppy. My puppy is only 4 months old, and we came in to get pumpkin puree for her because she is really sick, and this is how she was treated by a store associate when she is already not feeling well. This new store associate is clearly NOT a professional dog trainer – she believes a Boston Terrier would grow into an extra large dog and think it’s okay to physically abuse a young puppy who is already under the weather.

I will never go to this storeagain! After The"so called manager accused me of showing her a fake receipt because I wanted to exchange some cat food that my cats didn't like. She was very rude and mouthy and combative simply because I showed her an incorrect receipt of many that I had from my previous purchases. She also told me that I had an attitude from the moment I walked in. I was incredibly offended by her false accusations of which I were neither. This individual should not be employed in this customer service industry let alone.. a manager?? This is not the first time I've encountered horrible customer service at this location. I'M NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS STORE! The worst I've experienced anywhere! I would rate this a zero ??

Zero star not possible. The latest trip to this store ( a mistake giving business to this franchise ) proves how disgusting and disrespectful the management are. I witnessed swearing and discriminatory behaviour conduct, words hurled at the customers and aggressive language and conduct toward a couple who was there with 3 or 4 dogs. The female manager swore at these people in a startling tone which confirmed my reason to list my property for sale and leave this area !!!! No professional customer care and no regard for all people within the store at the time ….Steer clear and head elsewhere !

I bought dog food today from this location. They did not honour the price on the shelf where I picked up the dog food from their shelf. When I noticed the price difference at cash register, I asked them why is there a difference. Their explanations was that they were too busy with other inventories to even put up a proper price tag for their products, lack of space and new product.I find this is a poor excuse and very misleading to the customers when they are coming in to buy stuff. Should I not believe the price on the shelf every time I come in and purchase and always look at the tags beside it for THE REAL price ??It is even more weird and suspicious when I went back in the second time ( less than a minute after I left) to talk to them again because I was not very happy with the response I got. One of the ladies was already in the back talking to their manager on the phone about it. The only solution she gave me was to talk their managerJennifer the next day so she can reexplain the whole situation that happen today as to why they're incompetent.

Products are overpriced. Can find most things at other pet stores, for a cheaper price.
