“Last Saturday, I was driving to Oshawa to meet a friend. I thought that I'd celebrate her birthday early by giving her gift to her during our dinner meetup. My dilemma? I didn't have a proper, festive gift bag to put all her gift goodies in. I was using my Cirque du Soleil one. I mean, everything did fit in it. However, it's kind of misleading giving a branded bag and not a single thing is from Cirque du Soleil's gift shop. While driving along Taunton Road, I saw this Dollarama. Perfect! I swooped over to the right lane like an aggressive hawk eyeing prey, turned, and drove over to the store.I parked off to the side of the main entrance. It was surprisingly busy for a dollar store in Whitby. It was a sign that it was a decent store.I walked in. I saw the gardening section. It reminded me that I needed to repot one of my plants. Another day!I found mini balloons and knew that the gift bags would be close by. They were. I was elated.The Grogu gift bag had my heart. If someone wants to gift me it, I'd be delighted. =)I found a gift bag with an elephant and balloons. I felt like I was shopping for me. How selfish! My friend and I have similar tastes, so I knew that she would love it. It was also large enough to fit all her gifts in it.Although time was a bit tight, I still managed to do a quick-and-dirty tour of this store. I have never seen so many different varieties of sidewalk chalk in my life! The selection is extensive.I spent most of my time in the beverages, candy, and food aisles. Surprise! NOT. I found Pur gum, which is sugar-free. There was also Pure Leaf iced teas that I love so much.I lined up to pay. There must have been six people in front of me, but the lineup moved quickly. I had a nice man cash me out. I paid using a debit card. My card's tap feature had died, so I inserted it and entered my PIN. So old school. So successful!I thanked the man and left with my festive birthday gift bag. I had never swapped out gift bags in my car. I did just that in the parking lot. Success!My friend loved her gifts. I thank this store for being en route for me to swap out the gift bag. I'd love to return and shop here like a casual human being.(207)”

“Amazing imported snacks and wide variety on daily house-hold items. Today I went in and they had freshly made curry from that morning and it was sooo good!! I even buy little displays and seasonal decorations for my work in the same strip!”

“I paid a visit to the store today with the intention of exploring their craft section, and I was pleasantly surprised by the level of organization they maintain in that area. Finding the items I needed was a straightforward task. I'm currently working on crafting keychains and was in search of the essential rings to complete my project. I appreciated the fact that there was always a good selection to choose from. When it came time to check out, I opted for the self-checkout option, and I liked the added convenience of being able to use any spare change I had in those large machines.”

“Wide variety of products at such a low price! Nice wide aisles and tidy shelves. I was there on Saturday, October 29th around 5:30pm and the cash line up was SO long. I took a beat to see how quickly the line was moving and was super impressed by the male cashier. He greeted each customer politely but that didn't slow him down at all. I was shocked by how quickly he and another cashier got through the line cause it was almost to the back of the store. I'll be back!”

“Inside the mall ... so I feel that the collections inside are way more than the regular ones. They have self checkout too. So you don't need to stand in queue ... definitely a good store to visit after a purchase in the mall or visiting the theater for a movie .. the go station is also nearby”

“Each Dollarama store carry same and at times different products. This one is not bad. I got the Dahlia bulbs which normally sells for $9.99 for $2.50 at this location back in May. The plants bloomed abundantly. Love it when I find a deal.!”

“I’m am not a regular Walmart shopper . I find I prefer smaller stores ( as a preference) however I will go in if I need something specific that I saw online . ( which now I realize it’s not always right as it could be online only or a American site ) anyhow I asked this really nice lady and she had asked another and we searched for the item . She then asked another ..we didn’t find it as it’s likely American site . But! They were so very friendly and helpful!! I was truly impressed. Thank you ☺️”
