“Our team, Main Stage Rehearsal Studios were searching for yesterday’s Hamilton Spectator after they publish our company became the top 10 of a business award, and this very kind store owner went above and beyond to help us. He gave us a copy for free, refused to take any money, and even went back inside to search again with a smile when we realized it wasn’t the right one. You don’t see kindness like this every day. Businesses like his remind you what community really means. We were heartbroken to hear someone once stole his ATM, yet he still chooses to show kindness. He truly deserves our support ?”

“Change of ownership early June 2020. New owner is a business student. I met the father helping out in the store. He is a very nice man. The family (or at least the father) lives in the neighbourhood :) Local convenience stores are the backbone of the community.”

“Honestly out of 25 years I’ve never had convenience store with such convenience!! All the fellows who work here are so polite, care about your shopping and well being because sadly it’s not in the safest part of town. But alway treat EVERYONE with respect, I purchased a lighter and was shocked to see the cashier test the lighter I grabbed.. like come on that’s customer service at its finest!”
130 Queenston Rd, Hamilton ON L8K 1G6
“I came in disgruntled, already having a bad day. They were out of stock of what I needed and I gave the pleasant cashier some unnecessary attitude. He apologized and thanked me, I left without a word. Not like me. It was a day. The attendant then flagged me down outside to tell me he found what I was looking for. He went the extra mile when I certainly did not deserve it. To whomever was working the late morning shift today. Bless you.”

“Thank you Rushi, you are very clean and organized. Always taking care of the store when I see you, your appearance is clean and well put together. You speak kindly to me and others; you have what I like in the store and keep items I like where I can find them easily. The store has made many small changes to improve business, and I hope they can keep up the good work and have more items to buy. I do hope the prices go back down because the prices of what I buy have increased; I don’t know if I’ll be back as often.””
447 Concession St, Hamilton ON L9A 1C1
“The selection of goodies here is amazing! They even sell baked goods; I'm a lifelong Nanaimo Bar fan and they sell some nice ones that I always treat myself to when I'm making my biweekly or so visits to Concession Street every two weeks or so. Ice cream looks good, too, might treat to that as well next time!”
412 Barton St, Stoney Creek ON L8E 2L3
“I don't usually review convenience stores unless they stand out one way or another. I give this store a high rating because the staff are always so helpful and know where everything is located and it's in a good location at Barton and Millen in Stoney Creek. The store is clean and well organized which is what you expect from Avondale.?”

“Owner is always pleasant, kind and friendly, staff are helpful, great selection, service is fast, and had my keys made as well here, took just a couple of minutes and price was good. They really think about their customers, have just installed a coffee machine. Excellent little shop!”

“Envie Nails is honestly the best salon you can go to in southern Ontario! I get my nails done every 4 weeks cause they are perfect every time. From plain nails to extreme designs they can do them all. And if you have a girl/guy that can’t do the design they will call another nail tech to do it. They are all so nice and polite. I love that the salon is always clean and well kept. Even though there are times I have to wait in line, but the wait is worth the end result. Love envie nails!”
215 King St W, Hamilton ON L8P 1A7
“Great store, love the fact how well organized it is, with tons of variety. Everything you could think of - then some! Shoutout to Mo and the rest of the team, They are doing a great job. Recommend you stop by and see for yourself!”
260 Main St E, Hamilton ON L8N 1H7
“I like this shop. I like their subs better than Subway and Mr. Sub. This is one of the last places around you can get a sandwich, drink, and a snack for $15 all in. The people who work here deal with a lot of bullshit so they are naturally suspicious, but if you're polite and not stealing you won't have an issue. The beer is a little more expensive than the Beer Store, but not too much. It's a fair trade off for the proximity in my opinion.”
801 Mohawk Rd W, Hamilton ON L9C 6C2
“I have been coming here since 1974 when it was "Astro". Excellent service from everyone, especially the young Manager. By the way - people should know that they sell REAL Swedish 'Snus' ! Not just Skoal or other dipping tobacco, but real snus is available now.”
1455 King St E, Hamilton ON L8K 1S6
“Very honest and polite work. I've lived in the area for more than 10 years and the amount of effort and money this family has put into keeping this business open is probably great and I hope we can consider visiting the store. The mechanic is a really smart man and he took the time out of the day to help me adjust my alternator. We've had safeties performed here in the past as well. I am perfectly comfortable leaving my car here and in, fact I will be hopefully be dropping off a car here next week for repair. Thanks for your help!”
475 Main St W, Hamilton ON L8P 1K8
