“We are from the states and were visiting family when our child developed an ear infection. We saw an in town urgent care that inappropriately prescribed for our two year old. The pharmacist was diligent to check dosing. Had we given our child one of the medications as prescribed she could have suffered extreme side effects. Additionally, the pharmacist recommended us following up with our own PCP as the antibiotic prescribed was not first line treatment for an ear infection. Sure enough after follow up we were informed that the pharmacist was correct!”
