“I wanted to share my wonderful experience with Promises and Lace in Burlington, where I purchased my wedding dress. From the moment I arrived, the entire experience was exceptional. The team was knowledgeable, experienced, and truly understood how to guide me through the process. They asked all the right questions to understand what I was looking for, and they had such a strong eye for what would suit me that they seemed to know what would look good on me before I did. I was working with a very short timeline before my wedding and was feeling stressed that I might not be able to find anything in time. I had no idea that most wedding dresses take months to order. Lynn, the owner, was incredibly helpful and, thanks to her relationship with a local Toronto designer, she was able to get my dress in time. The quality of the dress I received was outstanding. The drape of the fabric felt luxurious, and the alterations they curated made it fit me beautifully, almost as though it had been custom made for me. As a mature bride, I know this experience could have felt very different somewhere else. Instead, I felt supported, understood, and genuinely excited. I found the dress of my dreams, and it played such an important role in helping me feel confident, beautiful, and truly special on my wedding day. The entire experience was amazing from start to finish, and I would highly recommend Promises and Lace to brides of all ages. They made what could have been a stressful process feel personal, memorable, and unforgettable.”

“I couldn’t be happier with my experience here for my wedding dress alterations! They did such a thorough job and paid so much attention to every little detail. We had 3 different fittings to make sure I was completely happy with the results. I came in not really knowing exactly what I needed or what alterations would work best but she knew exactly what to do and made my dress absolutely perfect. It fits me beautifully and you can’t even tell that anything was altered, it looks like the dress was made for me! They also completed my dress in less than a month. They were also both hilarious, friendly and so welcoming. Every appointment felt comfortable and enjoyable which made the whole process so much better. I’m so happy I trusted them with such an important part of my wedding and I would 100% recommend them to any bride looking for alterations 🤍”

I tried on so many different styles, and based on my explanation of my venue, Amelia brought me a dress that was beyond perfect for me and my wedding—it was an instant yes. I had only brought my mom with me on this trip, and when I was in tears saying yes, I heard squealing beside me. A group of girls with their bride started celebrating with me, and it gave me the most amazing “girls supporting girls” feeling. It truly made the moment even more special.
