Our winter escape to Saucy Willow Inn in Kawardha Lakes was nothing short of magical! With the landscape blanketed in snow, the cottages took on a cozy, fairy-tale charm that added an extra layer of enchantment to our stay. Our group of six couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting to create unforgettable memories. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the nighttime sauna sessions, surrounded by the serene beauty of the snowy landscape and the twinkling stars above. Stephanie and David, our gracious hosts, made sure every moment was filled with warmth and hospitality, ensuring our comfort and offering valuable great recommendations. Their genuine care and attention to detail truly enhanced our experience. Saucy Willow Inn is more than just a destination; for us it's a winter wonderland where cherished memories are made. We can't wait to return for another magical snowy getaway!

A home away from home! Stayed two nights for a hiking trip in January. Stephanie and Dave were amazing hosts, very welcoming and friendly especially since I was travelling alone. They were also very good at recommending things in the area and were very accommodating to make your stay the best one possible. I asked ahead of time if they had vegan offerings for breakfast and they made an amazing vegan breakfast! They also put on the sauna for my second day after a long hike. The rooms were very clean and modernized - lots of renovations and upgrades. My bed was so good, I fell asleep very quickly (and am still wondering what kind of mattress it was). I also enjoyed getting access to the common room and playing the piano and guitar - there's also a pool table, a TV. The place is very close to hiking trails and also convenient off of highway 35 to get to where you need to go. In the summer looks like there's a nice dock area in the lake so I'm sure that would be fun.Would recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat. I also got to see trumpeter swans on my departure too!

My husband and I visited the Saucy Willow Inn last weekend for the first time. When we drove up in the drive, we were both pleased with how welcoming the Inn looked. Upon entering we were promptly greeted by Dave who showed us around the Inn and property and made us feel very welcome. We then met Stephanie who was wonderful to deal with and ensured everything was taken care of in regards to us feeling right at home. They recommended some great locations in town for us to check out to eat, and we really loved the beauty of this property! It's especially gorgeous in the fall. Our room was comfortable and the whole Inn was very clean and well attended too. When we returned from our dinner they had the gas firepit lit on the front porch and a few of the guests including Dave and Stephanie sat around getting to know each other and enjoying the evening, it felt like spending a fun night with friends even though we had all just met. We only got to stay one night, but enjoyed the freshly prepared continental breakfast before leaving. Dave and Stephanie had prepared fresh smoothies, baked goods, eggs cheeses and cured meats along with a few other items that were very delicious. The whole experience was great, and we enjoyed our time at the Saucy Willow Inn!We very much recommend this Inn!Thank you so much Dave and Stephanie, you have created a very unique and niche establishment in Coboconk!

We stayed with Stephanie and Dave the night of Oct 1. 2023. They are great hosts and they spent a lot of time with us explaining their vision for the property and describing the outstanding effort and commitment they have expended already. The property and it's history are very interesting. Stephanie and Dave essentially have invested heart and soul into what was a derelict property and have saved it.They are genial and knowledgeable hosts. The gourmet breakfast, served as a chacuterie , complete with freshly baked scones, home made preserves, fruit, cheeses, yogurt, great coffee etc. We were in room #2 and were able to eat comfortably on the adjoining porch, overlooking the lake.We have no hesitation in recommending this property and the hosts to one and all and we are long time veterans of B and B's and unique accommodations around the world.

We were attending a wedding in Bobcaygeon over the weekend and stayed in Cottage#3 with our four member family. Our host Dave was exceptional with his hospitality and breakfast. Location is great, walking distance to the lake, very peaceful and beautiful surroundings, rooms well appointed and very clean. The main building is tastefully restored. Everyone one of us enjoyed our stay and would like to revisit for a vacation.

Wonderful inn and cottages in a beautiful setting with plenty of areas to relax by the water or on one of several porches. There are lovely gardens and landscaped lawns for outdoor games and cozy indoor spots for board games, pool/billiards or just a quiet place to curl up with a book. We enjoyed cycling in the area around the inn and also borrowed one of the kayaks and canoes to go for a paddle on the clear river. The hospitality of our hosts was second to none and Stephanie's fresh-baked scones (which accompanied substantial continental breakfasts) have become the bar against which all future scones will be judged.

We loved our stay!Stephanie made us feel so welcome and right at home. It felt like we were visiting family - but the kind you like ? - a perfect balance of friendly chat and plenty of time alone together (backgammon on the porch!)The house is a perfect mix of vintage lodge beauty (at nearly 150 years old, it’s an absolute stunner) and modern upgrades and conveniences. Our room on the main floor was lavishly decorated and had the MOST comfortable bed we have ever slept in away from home. Although the bathroom was not ensuite, it is two steps outside the room and totally private (not shared) which worked great, especially with the cozy bathrobes provided.Breakfast was delicious - loved the scones and the vegan smoothie! We will definitely be back so we can take advantage of the waterfront and do some exploring with kayaks. And we will enthusiastically recommend the Saucy Willow to others. Thanks to Stephanie and David for sharing their hidden gem with us!

If you want some time away from the hustle & bustle of life here's where you can relax and unwind. An absolutely beautiful lakefront property where you can opt for a luxury room in the Inn or a cozy cottage. Every detail is perfection and Stephanie & Dave are amazing hosts. Hubby has dietary restrictions & there were plenty of options for him for breakfast. The waffles and fresh fruit were so yummy and there was so much more. Here you can relax, fish, kayak & even have a game of pool. We felt so spoiled. Our room even had a private porch. This is now our Anniversary destination. We were delighted with champagne in our room when we arrived. The beautiful wrap around porch with fireplace is amazing and cozy with blankets and everything you need for an evening outside. This place is very special and we can't wait to visit again.Rooms: Absolutely gorgeous

Wasn't quite sure when we arrived, but wow. Greeted by one of the owners Stephanie. She gave us the grand tour of their Inn. So much history in the place. Our room was huge and we had our own patio. If you decide to stay here you won't be disappointed. Stephanie and Dave aim to please. Tell them Greg. sent you.
