“We had been looking for dried mexican peppers and seasonings for quite some time and this store had everything we were looking for! The owner was also very kind and offered us some homemade tamales which were warm & delicious. We love it and will be back soon!”

“Good food, but pricey for portion size especially. A family of 6 cannot eat only one box of butter chicken or a beef pot roast. That adds up quickly. It is cheaper than eating out but not by a lot since much of the food requires nearly an hour in the oven.”
“I'm always impressed with the quality of produce here (can't say the same for all discount grocery stores). They have a pretty decent selection for most items, and offer competitive prices. This place is my staple for most of my grocery shopping.”

They have some really unique finds - snickers and twix ice cream bars, unique Arizona ice teas, Coca Cola and crush flavours, and Pokemon cards! It sounds like they try their best to bring in different options to serve the community.

“Makayla in the Bakery area absolutely made this Sobeys for us. We typically go elsewhere and visit Sobeys on occassion as the prices are typically so high. However yesterday was my little one's fourth birthday and Makayla made his day by allowing him to feel so special, letting him talk her ear off while rocking her job and really making the visit worth it. Give this queen a raise, absolutely amazing person, sparkling personality.

“Our family recently ordered some catering for a big birthday party. I found it easy to order online (sandwich platters, salads, cheese tray) but the stand-out service was with our local store. They showed so much care and attention as we had to navigate a mustard allergy for one of our guests. The even called the day before to confirm all the details about the allergy. When I attended the store to pick up the food, the young man at the deli counter (I am sorry I missed his name!) was exceptionally polite and helpful. He immediately got our sandwiches from the back, and also explained how they were organized (with the mustard allergy). He also allowed us to use his cart; he took me across to the salad counter to collect our salads, and then over to the deli counter to pick up the cheese tray. He even brought the cart outside so we could load everything into our car easily. It couldn't have been a smoother process.
We had several comments on how fresh the food was an where we got it. This is the second time we've ordered platters from this store, and we wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Thanks for everything.”
“Solid grocery store. Prices are higher than competitors but that's expected.
Their Joe fresh section is pretty awesome, especially in the kids section and the women's fitness clothing.
They do have a really good international isle and some solid goodies I can't get other places so I'll keep coming back.
Staff is typically friendly and helpful.”
“Our local no frills, the produce department sometimes is out of stock of their sale items alot. Overly cold in that area too so ni matter ehat season your in bring a sweater. Very organized store. Bigger than my last local no frills. But the cashiers need to be on more it gets busy and you can't push your larger cart through the self check out”

Since Shell has been closed I've been pleasantly surprised that Rooted has had my smokes in every time. Also, fresh bread! It smelled amazing in there today!
New owners seem nice, but very disorganized. Been coming here for smokes since it was Charlie Browns; now they rarely have my brand in stock, even after a couple weeks. I would probably be price blind to the expensive groceries if I could do an all in one stop. Sadly I'm going to have to stop shopping here altogether. Yes, this was my #1 stop for smokes. Yes, I know I can (and will) get them elsewhere. It's just upsetting that the convience of this store is gone now.”
