Sandown Market is a mom and pop style bona fide Japanese grocery store that offers a wide variety of Japanese products not found in normal supermarkets. The store sells rice cracker snacks, pickles, condiments, sushi ingredients, soups, sauces, canned goods, and a frozen section. It also makes mochi in store and offers Japanese curry, rice sprinkles, popping cooking candies, and excellent tofu. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the products are organized nicely. Prices are not cheap, but there are sales and sale items, and overall prices are reasonable. The small store has good parking and is accessible by TTC. Customers can even rent videos here. The couple who own the store are kind and wholesome, making it a lovely place to shop.
