I can't say enough great things about my trainer Brandon! I have been training with Brandon since April and every workout is personalized to my goals and abilities, and he always takes the time to explain each exercise so I understand exactly what i am doing and why. Brandon's energy is infectious - he hypes me up every singe session and makes me feel like I can push past my limits. I am not a gym person, but I actually look forward to going to the gym now because of how fun and motivating his workouts are! If you're looking for a trainer who is upbeat, knowledgeable and truly invested in your progress, I highly recommend Brandon!!! I've seen huge progress and I always leave feeling happy, accomplished and firing dopamine on all cylinders! :-)

Yes it’s a big gym and has a pool and a women’s section. Sure. However, it’s ALWAYS so busy that you can’t get a proper workout in. The women’s section is quite small and lacks variety of machines. Everywhere you turn in the gym, it’s packed. I went at different times of the day and couldn’t escape the crowd. Ended up switching to Movati which has a much nicer crowd and WAYYYY more amenities, especially for women.

I went in today for the first and Nargis gave me the tour. She is so kind and warm. Explained everything nicely and was very patient. Thank you Nargis for being so helpful and kind

It saddens me to hear that the amazing trainer Stephan got let go. This is going to be a big blow to the positive atmosphere. Very sad....

Perfect gym. Only thing is, it’s super busy 24/7. But that’s not the gyms fault.

Love this location. Everyone is respectful of the equipment. The Body pump classes are my favourite.

Worst GoodLife I’ve ever been to. Insanely overcrowded and if you try to workout in the “trainer area” late at night when there’s no clients training they will ask you to not workout in the “trainer area” so the “trainers” can have their own private workout area. I’ll stick to other less busy GoodLife locations where the trainers aren’t so pretentious about their unused space.

Unfortunately, I am incredibly uncomfortable going to this gym due to the trainer Steph. He has harassed me and my friends on several occasions interrupting my workout to comment on how beautiful I am and repeatedly ask for my instagram during his shift. I have never received training from him nor have I ever given him any indication that I am interested yet he is persistent and will not leave me alone even while he is actively working with his clients. My friends have all had similar experiences and I know several women who are not comfortable in the gym due to this man yet no action has been taken

Well equipped gym with friendly and professional staff.
The locker room is very small, though.

My friends and I visited GoodLife Fitness at Stone Church East with the intention of potentially becoming members after a positive experience at another location. Unfortunately, our experience here was quite disappointing.
On our first visit, despite being told we could see the pool, we were left waiting for 10 minutes without any assistance by lady at reception . Eventually, we were informed they couldn't accommodate us due to staffing issues, which we understood.
Giving them another chance, we called ahead the next day and were assured we could tour the facilities. However, upon arrival, we were once again met with confusion and were initially denied a tour by the same lady !
After a frustrating exchange with lady at reception , one of our friends left feeling disrespected. Eventually, we were given a tour, but not without unnecessary scrutiny and a delay.
While the facilities may be great, the inconsistent and disrespectful treatment we received leaves a sour taste. It's disappointing that a well-known franchise would risk losing potential customers over such a simple request.
Tbh lady was quite rude she checked our Ids like cops ! Telling us old G2 license wont work, which has sticker of valid photo id as new license is yet to come !
My advice to the management is to prioritize consistent and respectful customer service. People are more likely to commit to a membership when they feel valued and respected.
I may consider joining the gym, but I'll likely choose to enroll at the Upper James location, where the customer service was exemplary.

Awesome place. I definitely recommend it!! the change room could use a cleaning, but I understand that a lot of ppl still living at their parents' house, so its hard for the crew to keep up
