Rent a trailer rather than borrow. U-haul trailers are well designed and maintained. They tow perfectly and can fit any car with a basic hitch. Beware one way rentals can have you driving out of your way to pickup and drop off and the reservation is only confirmed the day before you go. :(

The first truck I was given was showing a low tire pressure reading when I started it up. Kudos to the location for promptly providing me with a different truck. However the second truck left much to be desired. It clearly had not been cleaned out by the previous user before it was returned. The passenger compartment had paper, an opened food wrapper containing food and an water bottle containing water in it. The area of the truck into which items being moved were loaded smelled like a barn in which livestock reside and also had debris (nuts, bolts, paper, grit, plastic sheeting and what looked to be a few bird feathers) in it. It was as if the truck had been used to transport live farm animals or birds. I did not check this area of the truck before getting to my destination by which time it was too late to get a replacement vehicle and so I lived with the situation (lesson learned). Before returning the truck I swept it out so that there would be no misunderstanding with the rental location as to who was responsible for the unclean state of the truck. Staff at the location were friendly and helpful.

Scammers, avoid like the plague. Will overcharge & add miles. Opened a dispute, never got contacted, then they tried to charge additional late fees while still waiting for the original dispute to be resolved. Then had to open another dispute to remove those additional charges. Very unprofessional, hide your wallets. You're better off hiring a hobo with a wagon.

Honestly, I didn't like their service this time. I have used u-haul before, booked a 10 feet truck, got an old one during day of rental. I even ordered an utility dolly online and made special calls after booking to ensure to get a dolly on day of rental but was miserable I did not got one. The customer desk support representative tried their best on spot to help but in vain no help. After completing my rental, I filled up gas again before drop off, but I was charged an additional $50 for gas which was insane, unacceptable, unfair and non professional at all. I did my due diligence and called customer support, they too couldn't fix it although I showed proof of gas purchase and even pictures taken before and after. Estimation was $82 and my final bill was $162. Super disappointed, gave one star as the customer desk support representative tried to help for the utility dolly.

Don't believe them when they say there are no available vehicles, or that they'll take your phone number to call you if one becomes available. Use the app the employees are very unhelpful.

Rented from here a few times. Always been pretty smooth. They were able to get me a cargo van inbetween a few other reservations for the short time I needed it and I didn’t have my own reso.

This was a horrible experience for me & my family, they don't really care about customer service. Booked a hitch install a month in advance knowing I needed for certain date because of a family camping vacation, the day before install good thing I stopped @ location to find out they didn't have hitch. Ramin the Manager was not fit to be a manager, very scattered & unprofessional, didn't care that our family now missed out on our camping trip.Who know who operates these outfits these days, called everywhere to escalate my complaint maybe find headoffice & got nothing but a run around & failed promises of a General Manager calling me back which never happened. ?

I rented a truck for only one hour and they charged me $16.66 for 11 miles only... Why????? When I called them, they kept saying nonsense things about the fees.
