“Pretty much in and out with the self check outs. Much prefer this location over Main St, Stittsville. I find better deals here and the location and parking lot works for me. Always clean and the seasonal stuff is so fun, especially when it goes on clearance. I need for nothing but once you start dangling 75% off at me, I'm done. Gotta have it. Decent selection. Lots of freezer items. I haven't had much staff interaction but that is what is becoming of the new 'service' model. I've never known a Shoppers to be super customer proactive anyways unless in the high-end beauty area but I prefer Sephora now for very good make up so here it's mainly a few convenience food items, pet treats and paper products. At times, I just don't have it in me to battle myself into Costco.”

It was literally the day we were leaving to go abroad. We had been chasing our doctor to submit the refill authorization to Costco and they hadn't. I showed up at the Costco Pharmacy at Kanata and explained that my trip would be ruined without my child's medication. I showed proof I had been chasing my doctor to send the fax for weeks.....they asked me to come back in 15 minutes, I nervously did some quick shopping thinking of the possibility my trip would be one to remember for the wrong reasons.
When I went back to the counter, the supervisor handed me the brown bag and said, have a good trip. Don't ask me how but they managed to get a hold of the Dr. (which I hadn't been able to all week) and got them to expedite the fax. Vacation saved, and Costco Kanata has a client for life.
Thanks for understanding what your clients have to go through at times, the urgency of a giving situation and most importantly for taking time to help them!
Some of the things I love about the Costco pharmacy:
1. You don't need a Costco membership to purchase medication either online or at the warehouse.
1A. Medication is offered without many of the markups and dispensing fees charged by competing pharmacies.
2. Their online portal provides information about your prescription, date available to refill and gives you the ability to request a refill. This is much better than any other pharmacy where you have to either call or show up to obtain any information. Their portal makes things so much easier...even as a repository of tax receipts for medical expenses...download them come tax filing time, that's it.
3. Many people complain they can't get through when calling the pharmacy and I have been able to talk to someone rather easily at various times throughout the day whenever I have called, including 2 minutes before closing time on this Wednesday evening :) They greeted me warmly and helped me with what I needed even then! Now, that's service!”

When my doctor messed up my prescription from Kingston, Sylvia went way above and beyond to help me find a solution that worked to solve my issue. I have never had a pharmacist treat me like a vulnerable human (which I was) in such a way that made anxiety decrease and my quality of life increase in one fell swoop of competence and kindness. As a newbie to Stittsville, this is one of my stories I tell back home. Highly recommend!”

“Shoppers has become this image of a blue collar convenience store in my mind. It's open late, open on holidays and serves prescriptions, grocery, sanitary/ hygiene, OTC meds, snacks, sports and energy drinks and some name brand electronics items. It's dependable and staffed with kind people who are helpful.”

She walked us through YSL, Guerlain, and Chanel products, answered every question with confidence, and made us feel completely taken care of.
Her customer service was truly top‑tier. It’s because of her that we would come back to this store and we ended up buying more than we expected because her suggestions were that GOOD. “This is my favorite and only pharmacy. They contact my physician when my refill prescriptions need renewal, they have drive-thru service, I can refill prescriptions over the phone, and they inform me when my prescription is ready. They can't be beat when I don't need to leave my car!”
